I’d genuinely be stunned if we didn’t win the CL tbh just feel like it’s set up for us perfectly and we still have another gear to go up. Think we’ll comfortably beat Madrid and would comfortably beat PSG, City might be a slog that goes extra time or penalties though
TT is gonna have to risk resting players like Mount agst Brighton. He maybe 22,but still.
I’ve only predicted and bet on us to win the CL 3 times since Jose left the first time. 2012, 2015 and this season. Just fancy it big time fancied it before the start of the season but even more so now

I agree we are probably the fourth best side out of the four left.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not much in the four teams though either
Wish we’d make it easier on ourselves by playing Giroud though over Werner
At this stage of the crunch and pivotal moments of the latter stages of cups you have to take your chances on big moments and Werner blows it every fackin time, least Giroud more often than not delivers

Needs to play Gilmour - not saying that for sole propaganda purposes, rate him or not we have four CMs for the double pivot and TT relies way too much on just three of them. Hence the injuries imo. Overplayed.
On Mount, I agree, he needs rest, I do trust that we have enough options to replace him for the odd game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Assuming Pullisic can play agst City, then he must be rested agst Brighton too.
BTW....am I being harsh in saying Havertz was awful last night?

Those last 4 league games look terrifying
Mendy
Azpi-Zouma-Rudiger
RJ-Kova-Kante-Chilwell
Mount-Giroud-Pulisic
Our best 11 imo overall. Has Goals, trickery, pace, steel, resilience, dribbling, crossing, defending, threat at set pieces
Then people like Havertz, Werner, Ziyech as impact subs etc

Feel like there are certain types of games that suit him and ones that don’t.
Yesterday was the latter.
Jude Bellingham. This is probably the Dortmund player we should be signing. Not even 18 yet, oh my days.

Admire your optimism mate but as things stand we don't have that much business in the CL semis and we're the lesser of the four teams. Possibly by some distance, especially factoring in the lack of regular goalscorers in our team.
Last night perhaps highlighted the difference and also the benefit of peak form low centre of gravity Hazard versus still improving but more lanky physique Pullisic. Hazard would have avoided some of those fouls last night.

To be fair the fouls broke up play nicely, miserable for neutrals or fans generally but helped. Porto's tactics suited us weirdly as they were never going to gain the momentum required to get two goals from them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I stil worry in those games that the ref will be conned into costing us the match.

I’d have our team over Madrid and PSG’s
Wouldn’t have anyone from PSG other than Verrati & Mbappe
Wouldn’t have anyone from Madrid. Modric and Ramos still great but too old so I wouldn’t want them. Rest are meh
