You clearly dont care about the stuff I do care about

Possibly. Also I enjoy a bit of anarchy.
Imagine spurs building that new stadium and it never gets used as they play Real Madrid in Florida
Poor RtM didn’t even get to attend one game at Stamford Bridge

If you don’t care much for competitive integrity and the health of the wider footballing ecosystem, and are a fan of one of the 20 clubs then the Super League is undoubtedly a good thing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is not really true, in any meaningful context.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is kinda true. Essentially if you don’t really care about any of the philosophical/ethical arguments against the league then of course you’d probably be for it.

Apparently the stuff of Jose refusing to take training cos of super league is BS according to Fabrizio Romano
Also interesting seeing one of the first high profile player reactions I think from Herrera: https://twitter.com/anderherrera/status/1384093651702140937?s=21
This is a league that rewards mediocrity, in which the protagonists do not have to be ambitious, just greedy enough to want in. Manchester City and Chelsea were the last to sign up and were believed to be the most reticent. And that's probably true.
If it was up to City and Chelsea a European Super League would probably not be on the table because it is a proposal driven by pure avarice, and those clubs have owners whose motivation is more than just wealth. They want glory, they want prestige; and they have to be on the inside to get that. But it doesn't excuse them.
- from Martin Samuel and is probably true enough

No because if the consequences are we lose our sense of heritage, identity and place alongside PL membership that will kill us financially. People invest in the idea of a club too.

Fair points
Agree with you guys. City and Chelsea could have had so much +ve PR from not joining and waiting to see, if they weren’t truly the ringleaders.
I don’t think there is any way back now. It is happening and I suspect the PL, La Liga etc will soon realise it is not in their best interests to engage in a massive legal battle in trying to get the clubs banned.
What’s the point in these teams playing in the league though
I know there’s a league winner, but otherwise it’s pointless. Only one team can win so it makes no difference if you finish 2nd or 17th.

if you put a grand down then. You’d have 10 back
For so long football and Chelsea were part of my identify. It’s like one of the first things that someone would associate with me. I plan my days/weekends often around the timing of our game. I was planning on spending my life savings on a house close to the stadium ffs. So many of the friends I’ve made are because of Chelsea and football in general. I think about football all the time, whether it’s reading or talking about it or even sometimes during my dreams.
Now I don’t know what’s left. Where do I go from here. Yes I can watch other teams but the connection will never be the same. I’ll be much more of a casual fan. Other sports can help fill the void but football has always been my favourite.
