Reflecting on the game - Tuchel messed up more than any of the players. I mean, he has way more credit in the bank and factors/games in the plus column but those second half changes were inexplicable.

Giroud and CHO were rusty as hell, removing Gilmour meant we lost control of the midfield, and Mount in the double pivot is a highly reduced player. Without him in the half spaces we looked a much lesser team after the break.

All of this is worse than Jorginho's moment of madness.

As I said, way more in the plus column and clearly a top manager but he had a mare yesterday.

He tied his hands before the game in truth. Playing two conduits (Jorginho & Gilmour) with no possibility to break it up without structurally weakening the pivot was a rookie error.

But tbf that is the type of thing that goes hand in hand with the mad scientist breed of managers. Fixate so closely on the details they'll oversee big errors like that from time to time. Emery did it a few times with Arsenal I remember.

They did, there’s no way they were trying to make a nice kit. Don’t know who is worse between the people who designed it and the people who actually said “yeah that’s a good design, that will sell well” and approved it.

They’re the ones who get the majority of the money from the sales too so why the feck do they make so many ugly kits. Fans make far nicer concept designs literally every year

Yeah, there is something very unlikable about him. And it’s so arbitrary, I can’t justify it any sane way. 50% his face 50% he somehow gives this perception he has no clue what he’s doing but just happens to get lucky.

He’s one of the least vocal and stoic top level managers I’ve seen for a long time, dunno if that has something to do with it. Them guys can be losing 3-0 or winning 3-0 and camera will always pan to Ole with a complete deadpan face, like come on mate, give me something that indicates you know what’s going on
