Despite the fanfare for him after the Croatia game i think Phillips has been more dodgy. More capable footballer but also less solid

During the bit Denmark were all over us in the first half, Phillips was getting caught out a lot

I think Phillips has a lot of potential, even though he’s a lot older than Rice feel like he has a similarish ceiling. Feels like a late bloomer.

It is hard to see how Mount (if he plays) and Jorginho can both have a good game when they will probably be in battle with each other quite directly a lot of the time.
