Silva - body always going to be a question for him now. His recovery time especially when he gets knocks wasnt good last year

The point I was judging it on was we passed up the opportunity to sign the best young LB in the world at the time because we didn’t want to pay £50m even though he could of given us 10-15 years service (as I pointed o at the time) and I said we’ll end up spending double that over the next few years anyway and we’ve then spent around 100m since in the last 4-5 years

Point i’m making is we end up spending it anyway whether it’s over 2/3 years or just in one go. And we might as well spend it in one go to get a better chance of having a successful player

I’d rather spend £60m on a 22 year old rice than £30m on about 3 random pot shot europeans from abroad over the next 2-3 years

Ampadu needs to be playing week in, week out somewhere. And I think he's more a CB anyway.

If Tuchel doesn't fancy RLC as 4th choice CM than it's probably time to move him on permanently.
