And most particularly, it's the property of fans who hate one of the clubs involved, and so will experience joy, or heartache - somewhat vicariously if you will, but nevertheless it is there.

I hate Manchester United. Their last gasp, almost cruel loss today was - for me - a two minute turnaround from despair to extreme joy. Nitid fans are no strangers to Schadenfreude. It is naive in the extreme to ask what it has to do with other fans. Millions of fans all over the country are overjoyed tonight, for the exact same reason you are in despair. That's at the centre of the experience of being a football fan

i couldn't tell you anything about leeds this season, i couldnt even name a single player. what our game has to do with them I dont know, and then to think they can gloat. i can take it from the regular City posters on here, but fans of no mark shiite can do one.
