I posted a link to a site with transfers since start of Premiership.
Now, now DJ this debate must be a bit hard for you.
"Spending" also includes wages, and transfer fees recieved.
Play fair

By the time spurs put up there nice new stadium your be in an old people's home!. Still, you can share your memories of 61 with your room mate.
No-one's said anything about it
being unfair mthierry, it's a fact.
It's also a fact that despite that
advantage you only managed to
beat us by one point over 38
games.
And we've got a shiny new
stadium on the way too
-----
We're talking cause and effect here. We're no better than you because we're richer; we're richer because we're better and have been for a long time which can create a perpetuating cycle. You speak like our richer status is unfair and was handed to us on a platter. We earned it and shouldn't apologize for it.
And you can't be bragging about a stadium which hasn't been developed and which could have any negative financial implication on your short term competitiveness.
Spurs have spent £412 million since PL started.
Arsenal have spent £341 million.
Spurs have spent £412 million since PL started.
Arsenal have spent £341 million.
-------------------------------------
Spurs really are a complete joke
Why are you so defensive mthierry? It's a simple point of fact that you have more money than us. I've not got a problem with it, having been a Spurs fan for nearly 25 years i'm more than used to it.
I'm not bragging about the new stadium - we've not started building yet - but it will be built.
DJ - you're not playing fair
Just admit it - your extra 70m a year bought you one point
Man city are signing Eden Hazard. 140k a week
I cannot factor in wages, as without the figures for the first team only it is not an accurate reflection.
Arsenal invest a fair bit in youth, is that a bad thing?
I think you are wrong if you think Spurs cannot match Arsenal in terms of wages and transfer fees. Maybe the lack of consistant CL football means the owner does not feel it is money well spent to spend even more than he already does.
Just admit it - your extra 70m a year bought you one point

And a stadium.
And guaranteed CL football.

By the time spurs put up there nice new stadium your be in an old people's home!.
By the time Arsenal win a trophy you will be on an old people`s home as well.
You lot are a joke. 15 years in the CL and still level with little ole Spurs.
I'll make it simple where i'm coming from, as this debate is clearly getting a bit complicated for some
As you can see here:

Arsenal are second only to United in the PL in terms of revenue. Obviously factor in City's billions and they're 3rd.
Still with me?
Good
So you've performed as the money table would lead us to expect.
Now check the link.
Spurs are the 5th PL team in the table, again factoring in City we should be finishing 6th.
But we're not - we're a point behind you.
We've overperformed our resources for the past 3 seasons because we're superior.
With a new stadium our revenue can only increase, and the on-field gap decrease.
20 years in the Premier League and Spurs are still level with Dartford
At the end of the day, we finished above spurs for the 17th season running.
Spurs
Title challenge
North london power shift
1961 never again
Mind the gap
Best squad in 50 years finishes below Arsenal's WORST under wenger era
Joke club
13 titles to 2
Bale 150 million
Adebayor- their best performer is a city player
Spurs
Wenger has won more league titles and more premier league points than spurs
Wenger > Spurs
I don't know why I bother
Have fun Verm
BLB, I may be wrong but revenue is what a team earns. Not what money it has available. Your billionaire puts a lot of money into your team, our billionaires don't.
We make more money, that doesn't mean we have more to spend...
Just admit it - your extra 70m a
year bought you one point
-------
Since when did EARNING £70m more translate to SPENDING £70m more? You're really not very good at this. One point or not, we finished above you and finished above par for our spending. Unlike Spurs, we never finish below our spending level while you've been pipped in the past decade by the likes of Bolton, Reading and Portsmouth. Quit clutching at straws.
sandy
Ah well, at least my memories will be in colour!. Level with Spurs? then why haven't you secured CL football yet? We secured it yesterday. Sell our best two players last summer and you still can't finish above us pmsl!
You yourself admit Man Citys place is not reflective of facts.
It'll be hilarious on the spurs board if chelsea win the CL.
Cannot wait.
"I haven't really read what you lot are saying, but in my eyes Arsenal are getting worse and worse each season. I mean, you still finished ahead of us, well done'. But there once was a time you were always in the title fight. And wern't bragging about 'wage structure' and 'profit margins'."
Lets see how Spurs get on when they finally get that new stadium they have been banging on about for years.
I'm not clutching at anything mthierry, I understand what you're saying. I challenged DJ to provide some decent figures as to your spending and he just kept going on about transfer fees paid.

If you can provide me evidence you've spent less than us consistently (not just one profitable season when you were stripped of your best players) I will concede."
Sandy is probably not sharp enough to realize that using his perverse logic, Spurs are no different from Yeovil.
