I've said for ages that Ward is a one trick pony..he has a thunderous shot, but not much else...his crossing is dire, his ball control has gone, he can't tackle and he looks like he needs to lose 2 stone or stop bulking up at the gym...
When he was on loan here he was a lot better, but now he just looks like a rabbit in the headlights...
Nothing that a pre season with Grayson can't sort out though...like run off some weight...
He was on the lap of honour but stood by himself like a billy no mates......Roberts didn't work hard enough for me, he's skillfull but his last game for Town showed how much he can run around when he can be rsed, sadly he's too often not been rsed, hence he's off...
ward stopped being a wide player as soon as he bulked up..in two games he managed to get past his full back once..he then didnt cross it.. it needs sorting quickly..he can play we have seen it, he can control the ball amazingly well and he can cross and shoot.. needs to lose weight and get some aerobic work done..

I was very impressed with Hunt a future international hope you can keep hold of him
My take on the final leave Ward on the bench try and play calmly and with Rhodes firing you should be playing Leeds next season.Sheffield have been hurt with the loss of Evans and now Beattie I think losing out to Wednesday has been a massive blow so best of luck

he could certainly do a job at the moment up front down the middle, he just cant play the wide role...

Take of your blinkers off and ask yourself one very simple question after last night's match - who rose way above Lewington to send his precision headed flick-on directly to the feet of Rhodes, for him to score the first goal.
In case you missed it - it was Wardy of course, although I must admit his game is suffering of late and I agree 100% with 38's assessment of him.
Ward is still a young lad and once he gets all his attributes together, he will go on to become a top player.
As for MK's claim for a penalty, which some of the biased TV pundits, such as Martin Allen claimed it definitely was, then if it was, so was Lewington later challenge on Peter Clarke.
SorryMirf I9 am not impressed by him, his distribution was awful along with his supposed crosses as for he's only young I always believe if you are good enough you are old enough!

With regarding Roberts he was in a casino tuesday night with higginbotham! My mate asked him straight if he was going! He umm and arrd and that's it! Never said he was staying! My mate thanked him for his time at the club and Roberts shook his hand back

Well 'Misinformation' or otherwise Larry Clearly States he remains firmly 'in the frame' and in contention for a Finals Squad Position ..
If we are winning 4-0 with 5 minutes to go SG might risk bringing Roberts on so he can strut around as normal...
The other players seem to have got the message now that they needed to up their effort a bit..
Think I might have seen you jogging the other day Jacko .. on past the Stumble Inn ~ which you obviously resisted ~ tho if it was you I still detected a slight soreness in your running gait~stride .. Yes .. ?
