But his advisers, who are still discussing with Manchester City and Chelsea would have encouraged him to take his time. "
This is why agents are lecherous little cretins who should be publically horse whipped instead of making football fans cry.

That's the quote that worried me. His agents obviously have a big say in this.
Is this actually from a broadsheet, the website looks quite tabloidy?
I just guessed Scholes Tackling Coach
Can't wait till the end of this already. It's getting a bit boring now.
Did some research, its a "a major football based website in France."

Better than no news though, right?
Tbh, there are enough rumours flying around about Hazard having chosen United to make me believe it.
My only worry is that he'll go on international duty next week where Kompany will be in his ear constantly.
I'll admit it's looking promising but people will have reservations simply cos Utd don't tend to spend big on one player these days.
It'll be a massive deal if we do land him though, big middle finger up to City.
It'd be a little shocking if he manages to over-turn the wishes of his 'financial' advisors. After all, to go to a club likes ours, where we are trophy-less, over 2 clubs that won 3 trophies between them. Each grabbing one of the 2 biggest trophies available, and take what we all assume will be a pay-cut - It's a big ask in this world
"Sir Alex has apparently turned Hazards head by giving him a great speech about a new project, were Hazard will be the key to it and it the team will be built around him. And even though United offer the least wages, according to nearly all the media outlets Fergies plans for him has seemed to do the trick."
The Number 7 shirt works in mysterious ways
No 7
Just imagine, I'd give anything to play in that shirt !
i heard the deal closer was fergie walking down a catwalk in the no 7 shirt. To the soundtrack of Tina Turner " I Don't Wanna Lose You.
Not sure that i want him to get the number 7 shirt. Following Michael Owen is just too big an ask.
Football these days makes you pretty sick doesnt it. Player wants A, but who the hell is he to decide on his own career, that's clearly the agents job.
Player: 'I want to play for United'
Agent: 'No you don't, Chelsea makes me an extra million, so sign here'
Same goes for Pogba, the agent wants him to play for Juve not United, so that's what happens.
Why dont these players just grow up, grow some and make a decision without some biased parasite who's making millions off them blowing in their ear? You'd think even dumb footballers could see through some of the 'advice'.
Anyway fingers crossed the agent wins in this case, and then we can afford to spend the 35m on someone like Martinez who actually plays in a position we desperately need to strengthen hugely. Even better buy Strootman, Sahin and someone like Alba for not far off the same money, then if SAF really really wants a 10/wide player, get Kagawa with the left overs after we've fixed the priority issues.
Just seems like things are backwards if we are in for Hazard i.e. spend the bulk of our budget on a luxury star player in a position we dont urgently need to strengthen and use whatever is left over to try and get a cheaper solution to the CM and full back positions.
Agents should never have a say on where a player should go, they should only deal with the money issue.
