Didn't see it, eh? Is Wenger working for the FA now?

Yes it's simple he should get banned

You sure the officials have said they did not see it and they would have sent him off?

Pretty sure the FA would have suspended him if this was the case, or will do in the near future.

It's funny, I had this discussion on the City board a few weeks ago yet they were adamant Tevez did not do anything to cause Barton's reaction. Barton is a prize plum, but you could tell he felt an injustice at being sent off yet nothing given for Tevez.

Also, SSN conveniently cut of the part where Tevez threw an arm/ punch at Barton.

If you actually look at any video I've seen, its hard to make out what has gone on. Its certainly not clear cut. Which is why I guess there is no FA action regardless of the ref's opinion. What does it matter anyway? Its history.

Are you talking about the arm thrown when the ball was still in play?

Looked like a punch to me but i wouldnt be prepared to ban someone on the evidence of a heavily pixilated image

I think it's because we have had a number of our players banned following video footage.

Busbybabes, crouchendgooner.... it's on sky sports website today.

Officials said they would ahve sent him off if they had seen it.

Unless it is a typo in the article?

Just read it... admittedly that does not make sense

Maybe they are yet to take action on Tevez?

Doubt it, it doesnt mention anything about an ongoing investigation, or that he is on trial, etc.

Doesn't read right to me.

Never put it passed the FA to be incompetent

because you probably wouldnt have won the league had the officials done their jobs correctly

Well if the official has said he'd send him off, they have to take action surely?

They are the ones who go on about respecting officials and following their rules.

Get over yourselves you bunch of tarts, Barton tried to block Tevez so he shoved him, it happens in every game when there's a corner. Whatsmore, the FA have to charge a player within 3 days of an incident.

Does it really matter, if he gets banned or not.

You're at it again eh stinky????

We all know Tevez is a little teewat so stop defending him, admit he was wrong and move on, after all aren't you lot always telling us you can admit when you're in the wrong?

Dennis, personally I don't give a flying fek It's your boys who are still crying about it.

RED666... no not massively.

But when players from other clubs are punished as the FA are following their own rules, surely the rules should be followed here too.

He should not be allowed to pley the first 3 games of the next season.

If he is sold, then problem solved! ha.

The point it, it's not consistant from the FA.

Oh, and you don't have to be charged within 3 days, Rio was banned for an elbow vs Sunderland about 3 weeks later and not many even saw it. lf the official says he'd of sent him off if he had seen it, then they should be banned, it's that simple.

The linesman saw it all and thought Tevez's shove wasn't even worth a mention but the ref decides after looking at a few grainy images that he should have been sent off? People should be questioning Mike Deans judgement in general. It wasn't as if Tevez had given Barton a Rooney-like elbow off the ball..

posted on 28/5/12

The linesman said he didnt see it either.

He was 30+ yards away, with a number of players in between, and Tevez on the wrong side of Barton. I can understand how he didnt see anything.

Stop the blind faith - im sure you were slating Tevez a matter of a few months ago.

posted on 28/5/12

The linesman flagged to call the ref over who then sent Barton off after a lengthy conversation. I was at the game and saw the whole incident rather than a pixalated image on TV.

Being an adult, I'm not going to say Tevez should have been sent off just because I don't like him.

If Tevez was rightly sacked all those months ago, he couldn't have scored and set up all those goals - thus United winning the league.
