Nope can't see it, would be a nice surprise though.

I don't see how that would be fantastic for us. It would attract interest from the heavy spending clubs in England and abroad.

What would help us is him getting some experience but not being put under too much pressure (not starting).

I think it'll will happen

Just hope he gets some game time - unlike Walcott's first world cup (still dont understand why we didnt throw him on vs Portugal at 0-0 and heading to pens..)

Anyway, with some of the injuries I think it is a perfect opportunity to play OXo centrally.

I'm thinking same. But the pressure got to Rooney from that tournament. He hasn't reached his potential IMO.

He was so much flair back then, now he's just efficient, which is good, but I would like to see more flair to his game too.

Cannot see it myself. Rooney was well built as a youngster. I remember that was a useful part of his game back then. Ox just doesn't strike me as the kind of player who will go on the be world class.

You're right, we want our players to never fulfill their potential in case they decide to move

Or... Ox rips up the tournament and we boss the league next year, entirely because of his awesome-ness

Ox is just at stocky as Rooney was. Not surprised a Spurs fan doesn't rate him

I rate him . I just wasn't impressed by his last England game. Needs to improve a lot if he wants to pull off a Rooney.

he's easily the most talented player coming through since Rooney. The only think the other wide players have over him is experience, in terms of ability he's better than all of em.

You mean the 30 minutes in a friendly? When he came on he looked like the only player willing to have a go...

Maybe.

I remember Lennon coming on during the 2006 WC and causing the defence problems with his pace, and he was being raved about. He hasn't properly filled the expectation levels that were set back then.

Best not to start hyping Ox up yet.

Lennon just ran about like a nutcase and because he's fast everyone just assumed he's decent... a bit like that German winger Odonkor at the same tournament I think. ox's talent is obvious though

To be fair it was a bit out of order of me.

The correct order should have been

Lennon > Milner > Downing > Ox
