If he had been at any other club he would have been sent off a couple of times and booked a fair few.
He did pick up a card. Last game of the seaon, I think.

He didn't get any cards but he gave one to Kompany.
He did get one in the PL last season. He also got one in the CL.
2 YC's for him is good though.
He should have done though, how he didn't get one at home to Newcastle when hacking Coloccini when he was lying on floor i'll never know.
Am I invisible or something?
he could elbow someone in the face off the ball and not get booked.
Am I invisible or something?

who said that?
It's a shame his discipline wasn't as great on International duty then we may have a better chance of getting out of the group.
I don't like the man, but he's really only the one world class outfield player we have.
2 city fans and a gooner, yes a deluge
but he's really only the one world class outfield player we have.
At international level show me this fact
Rooney is the next Barton! his sending off for England was bartonesque.
Rooney's temper makes him the player that he is.
But even as a Liverpool fan credit has to go to Rooney for 99.99% of the time he controls it and uses it in an positive way and on a whole he is a class player but sometimes lets the occasion get to him - which just shows how much he wants to win.
Barton on the other hand is a guy who cant control is tempr and would have a fight in Church
The Verbal Jouster (U11370)
Barton doesn't get the benefit of the doubt
At international level Rooney doesn't get it. He is easily wound up and the opposite team use this
Barton would have won the Ballon d'Or if it was judged only on talent and not on personality.
Rooney is just hot headed and when things are going right for him or the team he can control himself, when things are not going too well you can see the calmness draining away.
With Barton he obviously has problems upstairs and is a nasty, evil shiete.
The Verbal Jouster
Barton could pick a fight in an EMPTY church!
