Does anybody in this thread actually read anything anyone else posts? At no point did I any any way imply you couldn't debate. In fact I said the words "this is a debating board" which to me suggests I am encouraging debate, or at least commenting on it's existence.
This thread is about Hamilton and his behaviour. If you want to discuss Alonso's misdemeanors, start a new thread.
"They say Hamilton is dangerous and has committed a variety of atrocities and say he's dangerous for the sport but neglect someone who is worse."
Why do they have mention if they think Hamilton or Alonso are worse? Again, that's not what this thread is about.
As for the link - Yellow flags mean no overtaking and slow down because of possible debris on the road. The video give no indication of how fast or slow Alonso was going, but since the debris was scattered across the road it didn't make much difference. Nor does it show if yellow flags were waved before the debris. And he certainly wasn't overtaking anyone.
I'm not saying Alonso didn't do anything wrong, I'm just saying the video is evidence of nothing.
Proof of Alonso ignoring yellow flag prior to the accident

"But this - "Hamilton's deliberate pursuit to kill another driver by constantly ramming into them" - are you serious?"
No, I wasn't being serious. Tone is always hard to get across in just text. Look up "Poe's Law" - I only discovered it a couple of days ago but seemingly I've been using it for years.
I agree with most of what you are saying, especially the "whataboutary" that Hamilton fans possess.
"Proof of Alonso ignoring yellow flag prior to the accident

That's not proof, it is a link to an article on a very cheap looking website full insinuations. However, it does appear likely that Alonso ignored the yellow flags. Great. So what exactly does that have to do with Hamilton's style of driving again?
Hobo, I'm well aware of Poe's Law. The problem is that sentence didn't stand out as being ridiculous compared to everything else you've written in this thread. In fact, it seemed like a logical conclusion to your train of thought.

The article is about Hamilton's dangerous driving;
The OP is lambasting him for his antics whilst ignoring other drivers who are doing the same or worse.
I have highlighted this as a point of debate. Things like erratic driving are nonsense, pretty much like the OP's article.
Hamilton's antics are laughable but if we are bashing drivers for dangerous driving, then Hamilton isn't alone, is he?
Why is Hamilton the prime focus when others are equally as guilty?
That is the point I've been trying to make. Dangerous driving is bad, so lets name and shame everyone.
I think that's fair, don't you? It's also my choice to post whatever I like in an article as part of the debate.
It's fair, but it is also completely off-topic. If you can't understand why that is, or why that might be an issue, I suggest you do some learning before joined any other fora in future.
As you said "The article is about Hamilton's dangerous driving" - and yet not a single one of your posts has addressed this (unless you did in one of your posts which was deleted, in which case I apologise). Everything you have written (that I can see) is about Alonso's dangerous driving.
If you're going to mention Alonso, at least tie it into the discussion at hand other than by saying "Yeah, but what about this other guy..."
Even if we were to accept that Alonso is the more dangerous driver, does that mean we shouldn't be able to discuss any faults Hamilton may have?
The OP deleted the comments where I made the distinction. My subsequent posts have been a challenge to his love for Fernando.
WTGL is known for wumming on other fora under a variety of usernames and monikers but the style is the same as well as the nonsense he/she/it posts.
westcoast, if you read his posts in teh first page of this article he calls Hamilton the most dangerous driver of all time as well as makes other ridiculous assertions. That's when Alonso was thrown into the mix for having an abysmal record

Louis is officially the dirtiest driver of all time. The day he's gone out of F1 cannot come soon enough...

Nothing exciting about a thug who thinks he's above everyone and feels the need to ram into them.
The list now proves Louis is the worst cheater of all time; a scar on F1's friendly image. He'd be better off doing The Redneck Games, might actually win for once...

I thought there was a good chance that had happened. I know all about WGTL "imaginative" wumming.
I'm still not sure if the best way to argue in favour of Hamilton is to show that you think someone else is worse. Especially with the arguments you've made against Alonso, which TBH don't suggest a dangerous driver - just one willing to cheat/bend the rules to win.
For example, staying in your pit lane for a few seconds extra to disadvantage your teammate is not the same thing as attempting dangerous overtaking maneuvers at 180mph.
If you don't think Hamilton is dangerous, propose a defence for his driving; if you're just here to show Hamilton is bad, but Alonso is worse then I don't think this is the thread for you.

Yet more pathetic baseless accusations. This has always been my 606 username since 2010. Although I had to recreate it several times because of the BBC's "politically correct" moderation team...
Louis is indeed the dirtiest driver of all time. Can you compile a list of comparably dangerous and disgraceful offenses for any other driver?
How many drivers have proven to break the rules as consistently as him? All this in just 9 races:
Australia 2011- impeding a driver in qualy
Malaysia 2011 - weaving again
Spain 2011 - ignoring yellow flags
Monaco 2011 - cutting corner
Monaco 2011 - two collisions
Canada 2011 - two more collisions
Canada 2011 - speed limit infraction
Canada 2011 - dangerous conduct and parking
Britain 2011 - dangerous use of DRS in wet
Britain 2011 - malicious ramming into other cars
Perhaps Riva's view of F1 is analogous to the traditional English view on football. Tackling someone two-footed from behind with every intention of breaking their legs is somehow seen as "manly", "tough" and "proper football" when in reality trying to hurt someone on a football pitch is one of the most cowardly things someone can do. Simiarly, those who use deciet and cunning to con the referee into giving a foul (i.e. diving) are seen as "despicable", "disgusting" and rather appropriately; "Spanish".
I'm not saying diving is right either, but it's a million times better than being a cowardly thug.
So Hobo, do you feel Hamilton deliberately tries to hurt anyone on the race track?
He always goes for an overtake but I won't classify him as dangerous.
Asking a team mate to crash to win a race of brake testing people, ignoring yellow flags etc are far more despicable acts. I wonder why you guys aren't up in arms about that driver?
