What time limit did they initially set for promotion?

And this time last year didn't they promise all a push for promotion this coming season with "significant investment" or your money back

A knowledge of football would be nice but not essential.

This advertisement demonstrates that the owners of GSE still have no idea about English football.

I see they have abandoned the global brand vision though. It only took them four years to realise that medium sized provincial clubs don't become global brands. You have to win trophies consistently for several years to attract the plastic fans. Now they seem to see us as a larger version of Crewe and we are in the game to trade players. Essentially GSE and the supporters are looking for different outcomes. We are looking at the number of points at the end of the season as a measure of success whilst they are looking at the number on the bottom line of the balance sheet.

The title should clearly read:

An operating profit every year.

Good luck with that.

Any hint of talent will need to sold to achieve this.

Spartacus,

Good post and point. This GSE rammel have changed their own goal posts several times over the last few years.

GSE in a nutshell:

They have no money.

They purchased us with other peoples money.

They want to sell players to raise money.

They want our money.

They have done nothing for this club. When you buy a bloody burger at the ground, DCFC see no part of that money because GSE sold the catering rights.

I would go as far as to say that GSE are very similar to Craig White at Rangers, only they have got away with it.

Milf - can I just clarify that this is an extract from the genuine "confidential" candidate brief?

Colbi -

GSE in a nutshell:

They have no money (correct - they never did have either and never pretended otherwise)

They purchased us with other peoples money (yes, they did and again, they never hid this fact).

They want to sell players to raise money. (Every club has to do that, unless they are being bank rolled by Arab Sheiks etc. In our case, they have admitted they need to raise money by selling players IF we want to buy other players OR we dont sell but dont buy either!)

They want our money (we pay less for tickets than many other Championship clubs but of course they want our money - every owner of every club wants the fans to pay - I'm not aware fo any club that doesnt charge?)

They have done nothing for this club. (I disagree with this - they have managed the club well after our disasterous Permiershuip excursion and avoided the spectre of relegation to the lower leagues/ administration that befell both our local rivals.)

When you buy a bloody burger at the ground, DCFC see no part of that money because GSE sold the catering rights. (Yes, they did sell the rights so they've already taken a guaranteed income from the catering rather than risking that stream of income on how many fickle fans turn up for games or not)

I would go as far as to say that GSE are very similar to Craig White at Rangers, only they have got away with it.

(and I would go so far as to say that you have no idea what you are talking about! You've not even spelt his name right. Craig WHYTE stands accused of enormous fraud/witholding charges to the tune of £21m. How have GSE acted illegally in any way? What a ridiculous comparison to make! Just because you dont like them doesnt mean you can go about potentially libelling them)
