I think that there is a takeover and I also believe that Warnock is expecting everything to go through late on. Therefore he is building an interim team to see Leeds through to the next window and then go some.

Great point.....Warnock can't assume the takeover will complete, so has to make sure he's not caught completely short...could well explain why we're getting what appear to be stopgap players again.

Makes sense to me given what I was told by Bates' "mates". The delay could be the "sting in the tail".
