Linfield only drew tonight, pesky Faroes have it in for NI.
At least a score draw will do for Linfield in the return leg.
Also a good draw for Portadown away at Skendija.
Why dont those annoying Faroes go and pick on one of the big boys! Blxxdy Vikings always storming ashore an shafting us and our women!
VERY SORRY! I forgot about the Proud Ports. I thought their fixture had been put back. HUMBLE APOLOGIES Uncle Luke and the Boys of the Lough(Dirk, Ally, Brian, etc.) The next ones on me!
Easy error to make considering only 2 Europa League matches took place today, with the other 30+ being played on Thursday.
Out of season or not, I feel Linfield's result is a disappointing one for the Irish league. Of course, the tie isn't over, I'd still expect the Blues to go through, but the results for the other seeded teams in the first round last night suggest they really should have made the 2nd leg a formality. It wouldn't be a good look if "Ireland's Premier Club" went out to these goat herders. For the sake of the reputation of the League, best of luck to them in the 2nd leg.
Portadown did well, if there opponents are anything like our Macedonian opponents last season they have every chance. They'll need to be aware of "gamesmanship" to use the term loosely though, I never seen the like of it from Renova last summer.
.........and our dogs and chickens...........
Well done Cliftonville, great result!!
Bad luck the Crues! the score was not an accurate reflection of the play. The Crues had a blatent penalty denied and were awarded another one but missed it. The Crues missed Coates badly in defence. The better team won, but 3-1 or even 3-2 would have been a more accurate reflection of the play. Luck of the Irish again! That bxtch Lady Luck really has it in for us, just cos we wouldnt bow the knee and agree to be pxssy whipped like so many others willingly do! Some even begging for seconds!
Well done the Ports! See you boys are at it again. Determined to plough a furrow of destruction right across Europe, just like last year!
Com on Blues, dont let us down!
Impressive stuff from the Reds. It will be a tough night for them up in Sweden, but if they can score another out there I think they could be home free.
Fingers crossed for all local sides fighting for their names in Europe during next few days!
