It's basic common sense that if serious investors havent got access to the most recent set of financials that it is likely to be a negative factor. This doesnt mean the listing wont be successful, it just means using old data will be a concern for some serious investors.
This isn't a tricky concept.
$100m debt is like £64m, that would be a great decrease from 423m and we'd be able to have a much larger transfer kitty in the summer. I just wish I had millions to invest, but hopefully this IPO pays off. When does the club go up on the stock exchange?

My comment wasnt being at all negative about United as a club, I was just saying it's interesting that they're using financials that are older than a year, which isn't allowed in many places. I also just made the pt that some serious investors may be put off by this.
It's discussing the topic in hand, and not in any way saying the IPO wont be successful, and not in any way suggesting the IPO is a bad idea. Quite the contrary I've said repeatedly I think it's a very good idea and stuck up for this Glazer plan.

Yeah I know that, I just mean the intricate details of the whole thing. It's something I personally find boring but if it lowers our debt then I'm sure it can only be a good thing.
I'm of the opinion that the Glazers aren't the worst thing to ever happen to United but neither that they are good for United, they see us as a business, have increased revenue a hell of a lot over the last few years and hopefully in time we will not have debt and both United and Glazers can profit. Maybe that's just wishful thinking but this IPO seems to be putting us in the right direction.
