The difference is IMO, is that Bates's business plan is now failing and with dwindling revenue the club will start to cost him money despite player sales. If this is the case, then I'm relieved and it will mean that those fans that have voted with their feet will have forced the issue.

If the rumour is true he has never tried to buy from Bates before. He was reported to want to buy from Krasner in 2003. He and his family always had the money. Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of family disagreement over buying a football team. Things have moved on from 9 years ago.
