No thanks - he's a gimp. Although, Fergie Jr is now 1/2 on to be next. Those kind of odds are rarely wrong. Equally as disheatening.

No thanks.

Yeah but Cotterill wasn't favourite until the day before he was appointed, so I wouldn't take it as red. Plus I would be surprised if he took over, as i think the manager has already been chosen, and with him still being at Peterborough, I don't think he will be the man to be appointed, it is just because of the rumours a few weeks ago with Paldini that that has come up.

I honestly think, due to Fawaz saying he wanted to put the fans at the heart of the club, that he will appoint someone if he was telling the truth with someone with Forest connections, so i would expect someone like Billy or Roy keane (not too enthralled about him) to be the next manager, even though unfortunately I would not rule out McCleish or McCarthy, even though I don't think they will be first choice for the job!

Fergie? No thanks.

Mick McCarthy 16-1 surely gotta be worth a fiver!!! Posh will cause a stink if Fergie Jnr tries to leave so not sure that'll happen. Important thing is whoever does takeover is that we support the new gaffer as well as the owners! This is by far the most exciting time supporting Forest in the last 20 odd years

Thats weird SBD. I was thinking the same about ten minutes ago. I would accept his appointment.

Fergie is evens on Ladbrokes.

i think either ferguson or NLN would be underwhelming appointments.

One thing is for sure, I don't want Fergie JR, even though I don''t think he will be the man appointed as manager as i said earlier

Why's everyone so against Fergie Jnr?

He did really well at P'boro during his first stint. Got them playing attacking attractive football.

Not saying I want him, just wondering what peoples reasons for not wanting him were?

And over in Derby... even Lynchy didn't want to go there

Hoons

He left posh to go to PNE and got them relegated. He's done ok at posh, very badly at PNE. Surely we could do better.

Yeah but......PNE.

We should go for Holloway, Curbishley or Billy Davies in that order. Hooloway has done wonders with a small budget so you'd think he'd do well with reasonable budget, plays exciting football and has a great eye for a player. Plus he's surely taken Blackpool as far as he can and has spoken glowingly about us in the past. He'd surely jump at the chance

Can't say I'm exactly enamoured with any of the people we've been linked to. The Darren Ferguson rumours won't go away, and it's also coming from the Kuwaiti's who on the whole have been more on top of this take-over story than the British press. I'm not sure why. I feel sorry for Cotts, however, felt it was always inevitable that he would go because the new owners appear eager to make a statement of intent, and as Cotterill divides the opinion of fans so much I expect that they'd want someone who can unite the fans from the onset. I personally felt that the lack of interaction between Cotterill and the media over the last few weeks was telling. I'm not surprised by his sacking, however, mildly amused that Paul Taylor of the evening post has argued adamantly for the last fortnight that he was ITK and Cotterill was going nowhere. Regarding other managerial options, Neil Warnock would get me interested, simply because he's the best when it comes to promotion, and Fawaz stated in his first Kuwaiti TV interview that he wanted him. He appears to have had a plan, it would be interesting if he's deviated from that.

As for Nigel, I would actually love it if he came home, and made sure to toss his Derby shirt in the bin infront of the camera's on his way out of Pride park. Still, and always will be a Nottingham Forest legend. Just my opinion mind.

I'd love to have Pearce back at the City Ground. Can't see it happening though.

I'm not sure. I think possibly now he hasn't got the England job.. but then he's committed to the Olympics. We don't want a manager who isn't going to be around until late August, we've already left things late!

Ray, please see my comment in Revs post. Pearce couldn't due to the Olympics. If he did he'd possibly lose face of the whole nation. Bad timing.
