If he was in any way innocent.......why did he/the club not appeal?

Now if there was any chance of consistency Terry would receive an 8 match ban and £40k fine same as Suarez (because of course a £40k fine really means a lot to a PL footballer...), whether it will mean the same outcome we'll have to wait and see.

What are you talking about? How have you come to the conclusion that the two cases are exactly the same?

Terry has been confirmed as credible.........

Suarez the opposite

Wake up you feckin stupid

I've lost count of the number of times you repeat this line and the number of times it's been answered!

You can't appeal the decision only the ban. As the ban is worked out on a formula there is no way it would be reduced on appeal and could be increased for a frivolous appeal!

How.can it be a frivolous appeal? He is innocent.

Its balls.....if he was as innocent as you believe, they(the club/player) would have appealed

posted on 14/7/12

Who said I believe he was innocent?

They can't alter the length of ban as it's set by a formula - the clubs know this so to appeal is a waste of FA time and hence in their words 'frivolous'.

There was no avenue open to Liverpool to appeal the decision. If you know of a way, explain it please.

Mourinho's - thelimpliberal didn't say the two cases were exactly the same. He said the FA should show consistency in their punishment, that's a completely different thing to saying the cases are the same.

====================

why ????

suarez chased evra round calling him racist names to try to get a reaction out of him.

ferdinand chased terry round calling him names to try to get a reaction out of him.

ferdinand = suarez

terry = evra

ferdinand should get the 8 week ban

Terry has been confirmed as credible.........

===============

No he hasn't.

The case against him hasn't been proved beyond reasonable doubt and therefore he is innocent.

That is a long way from saying he has been confirmed as credible.

JPB - if you read the report you'll find that Evra was the one who started the name calling. The whole thing started when Suarez supposedly kicked him in the knee (video evidence shows no kick!) Evra opens the conversation in Spanish with expletives about 'his sister's lady parts' and then says why did you foul me? to which Suarez responds it was a normal foul. Then ensues an exchange between them but by his own admission and clearly stated in the report, Evra started it.

Yes, he's been confirmed as innocent

Terry has been confirmed as credible in a court of law.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly, so what chance do the FA have then? Do they have jurisdiction over the criminal justice system? N0!

Suarez could have sued the FA through the criminal justice system, he chose not to!

You can rest assured that the FA know that Terry will sue them if they convict him of racial abuse and they know he will win. They do not have a leg to stand on!

They can't, because they can't punish Terry for racial abuse. The point is therefore stupid.

So you don't believe suarez is innocent?

posted on 14/7/12

@ Mourinho´s Omelette

All that was asserted about Terry by the court was that they did not believe that he had used the language in a racist manner, nothing was said about his credibility.

Suarez also was not charged with racially abusing Evra, merely using racially charged language, and Terry has admitted to using such language, that is why he may be charged the same as Suarez.

God, some of you lot really are thick. You're repeating the same questions over and over even though myself and other reds have answered them.

The truth is, you can't be seen to be fair because you don't like Liverpool - it really is childish

No...you have only given your opinion.
