I hope he stays too but I got this feeling that when offers start rolling in it will be too much for Pannu to resist and Davis will be sold.
Probably late on in pre-season when it will be difficult to replace him, so I am wondering why the new boss is not buying any central defenders.
Lets hope he gets around to it soon...
In this day and age signing a CB will make way for him to leave instead of seeing out a contract.
I think 6m should be the minimum offer accepted for davies, that's still cheaper than johnson and dann, curtis has been in and around england squads and has more experience in the premier league than them both.
If we turn down 6 for butland who has only played in league 2 then that should be the minimum for probably our most talented player
So basically, he's another player who uses us to get his career on track then signs for a Premier League club and becomes a bench warmer or an error-prone nuisance.
I've seen it happen far too many times with players exiting our club, Johnson, Dann, Jerome to name a few. If this is true I think Davies should show us a bit more respect, if we hadn't of signed him he would probably still be rotting away in Baggies reserves or somewhere similar.
We need to keep our best players, and Davies is the best centre back in the league, and will get games. Won't get as many if he goes up a division, unless it's with a relegation minded team.
I hope Curtis doesn't leave and he seems happy at blues. If he did go he is good enough to go to a bigger club than Norwich irrespective of them being in the premier league. There would be interest from other premier league clubs with better potential for him no doubt. Plus Norwich couldn't afford him and we don't need their cast offs in exchange. Chris H has shown a lack of respect for blues. I am very impressed with the good job Lee Clark and Peter Pannu are doing.
i thought all of our players wanted to play in the premier league. krp.
Of course they do beesknee and who can blame them. Sometime in the near future we could return to the premier league so hopefully they will experience it with us.
Dunno what the worry is about Davies, there's been no interest from any team and he hasnt even mentioned he wants to play in the premier league, just lazy journalism!
