I'd have agreed with that comment previous seasons, but our signings this season have been spot on.
Marin was immense today, Hazard was superb. Couldn't be happier with either of those signings. Just need a RB now.
I'll be shocked if we're not challenging for the title and within 5 points come the end of the season with this squad. The only potential problem would be Di Matteo imo.

CM would be the next position, but I think we're fine. Lampard is superb in the double pivot. Mikel is a very good DM in that system, his close control is brilliant.
Malouda isn't a CM. He is crap though.
Essien is also crap now.
Romeu isn't good enough and will go on loan.
The only problem with Lampard--Mikel is creativity. Having Marin---Mata---Hazard in front of them fixes that problem.
We have McEachran, Kevin DeBruyne and probably Oscar who are all good youngsters, Oscar especially great.
Lampard---Mikel is as good a double pivot as any in the league.
