So McCarthy cut short his holiday, flew home then decided he didn't want to go to the interview? Something fishy going on
Hmmm... something is not quite sitting right with me Sarah - not sure what's happening.
A few week ago I heard Brenden Rogers get interviewed and he said something along the lines that if if would have been in the running with other managers he probably wouldn't have taken the job.
I'm hoping the reason Mad Mick didn't complete the interview was purely to do with there being other candidates.
Oddball - hmm, that's a bit of a stretch I think. More likely he heard something he didn't like the sound of.
I swear if we end up with Strachan I'm going to some damage to this keyboard !
I am extremely happy the arrogant, narrow minded prat is going to have nothing to do with my club.
How he was going to play the sort of football forest fans expect was always going to be difficult, to say the least!!
Ive been trying to get my mindset into the "well if he's our manager I'd be behind him 100%" all day. And just couldn't do it!!! And now I don't!!!! Yeahay!!
McCarthy was the best out of a bad bunch, maybe he spoke to Verhoek

My guess is that it's to do with reports of the owners signing Kuwaiti players - not something Mick would put up with.
Pleased from a Wolves point of view, Mick's Championship record is fantastic.
Brendan Rodgers declined interview because it would realistically have made his current position untenable: MM was out of work, so no such worries.

''McCarthy did have further talks. Had it confirmed by three different sources including Omar Al-Hasawi via an interview in Kuwait''
Had further, lengthy and multiple talks over the phone apparantly. And apparantly the contract for him was drawn up and ready for him to sign.
Something happened during that last conversation though to ice the whole thing.
Don't start second guessing Kuwaitis, you'll tie yourself in knots.
What is Mark Arthur's job nowadays?
Executive vice president in charge of keeping the biccie barrel topped up
Micks Championship record with Sunderland and Wolves
03/04 playoffs
04/05 Champions
06/07 playoffs
07/08 7th
08/09 Champions - playing football that included a 5-1 thrashing of Forest.
