TB your obsession with calling Henry and Werner complete liars despite them going on record and stating the way the deal happened is getting a little scary.

You act like they're Evra FFS.

redconn - I'll tell you what is genuinely scary mate, followers of the 'cult' swallowing, (seemingly without question) that pile of pony, even though it would have necessitated a deal structured in a way that has never happened in football before.

Seriously unbelievable.

so you're saying both owners completely fabricated the whole thing then. And then repeated the lie.

really?

knowing anyone of the 3 parties could out them at any moment?

really? you believe that?

redconn - it was spin, the facts are simple.

Chelsea paid you £50M, you then paid Newcastle £35M, that's it.

You could have kept the £50M & bought no-one couldn't you? yes or no?

Henry already did. And Werner.

You think they're telling porkies for some reason.

That's your problem

Are you really that dumb fella or are you having me on?

Chelsea paid LFC £50M for Torres - because they were prepared to pay that much for him. LFC could have said, thanks, we'll pass on Carroll ta Newcastle & kept the cash.

Are you seriously trying to tell me that couldn't have happened? If so why not?

He was asked if he would send him out on loan. He said it is something he would look at.
-----------------------
No, he didn't say that at all. That's the way BBC reported it. If you actually watched the press conference he was asked in general about loans and he said if it benefits the club, we'd have to look at it.

This was way after he was asked about Carroll and AC Milan, in which he responded, Carroll will always have interest as he's a good player and that he'd already had a good talk with Carroll on the phone.

asses goddamit asses!

A-ha, a humurous double entendre that includes both Carroll's description of being a donkey, and your love of the male rear end

Well played TOOR, well played.

The OP is a moron - he's got it all wrong. By letting Torres go and signing AC, you also saved yourself another 50k per week in wages. And you probably saved some money in tax liabilities too.

Add another 5 million to your figures Metro - you scousers dont know how good youve got it. Tut tut, must do better next time.

I did watch it, and the moment he said that, it was clear what was going to happen. He was asked directly about that, all he had to say was there was no way Carroll would be going on loan anywhere and he had a big part to play with us. He didn't. Do you think he would have replied the way he did if they'd asked it in relation to Agger or Suarez or Lucas?
--------------------------------------
Why do you think he didn't say it? Obviously because he is not 100% certain he will be at the club come the new season. He hasn't assessed him yet, for a start.

....

How does that make me wrong. If you're going to talk about wage differences then we may as well throw in bonuses, benefits and car parking spaces

And you have the audacity to call me a moron.
