I'd personally prefer Van Persie as he's younger but you're right. As a player i'd say Drogba was awesome and was probably the best striker in Europe at times over the past 6 or 7 years.

I'd love Drogba at United, no matter how old he is.

Drogba was a beast of a striker. His departure from Chelsea will affect them a lot more than people think

It may not work out for him in China as it hasn't gone well for Anelka (though that may be more to do with Anelka as a person) so you never know. Could come back to Europe and sign for us in January.

In the last few years Drogba was the only player in the PL who I would generally think 'we could be in trouble here' when I saw his name in the starting lineup.

He didnt say we would have gone for him. He said he could have been tempted if he was interested in moving to other english clubs.

he didnt say that at all - he said he didnt want to stay in England so that ruled anybody in England trying to sign him.
