Not good enough as a player
Not needed as a player
Hugely over-rated as a player -like a lot of AFC players in recent years

Racist as a person
Disruptive as a person
Obnoxious as a person
-------------------

What?

me

you list all the reasons why i don't want him at City.
i don't think i am in the minority either.

We have an obnoxious character in Tevez still with us, we don't need another one.

Whatever, along with a proper RB and top flight GK,

Can't believe this donkey is still banging this drum, such a poor WUM.

Not sure about you needing a gk, but wum or no wum he has a point with your rb position.

It must be tough being an arsenal fan. year on year you have to sit back and watch your best player leave. why do you put up with it? there would be uproar here. ultimately van p is leaving because your management have no ambition and want to be a money making business. all fair and good but as a football fan it's no consolation. you may as well go and support tesco.

united are a business but it never disrupts us winning things on the pitch.

as fans you take it up the backside year on year.

There's nothing wrong with the RB position, Rafael is number one and will be top class in a few years.

Wanna lend us some of your Norwich scarfs?

scenario for you.

If over the last four year we had sold Wayne, vidic, nani, valencia and not replaced them or replaced them with cheap rubbish there would be more than scarf protests.

what do you lot do? lap it up and carry on.

Have we ever dropped out the top 4?

Arsene Wenger really is a great Manager to never let you drop from the top 4 - Really is stupid when a small section of your fans want him out!

Rafael isn't great. No way as good as Sagna.

If you're happy with top four mate, enjoy it while it lasts. From the invincibles and a champions league final to a team happy fighting it out for fourth. all with the same manager. the only way is down mate. he can't keep getting away with it.

Me

I want proof of RVP being racist. Otherwise you are lying.

Not saying we are happy with just a top 4 finish but you have to credit Wenger each year.

Every year some merc little pop's up and demands 'success' when all it really means is they are pushing for a move to a club who will pay them more.

Wenger has to compete with the likes of City, Chelsea and even United spending vast amounts each year and we still come in the top 4.

We have been unlucky aswell to not win something the past couple of years i.e CC Final and CL Final.

You need to spend to compete and currently, We dont and wont spend like the other top clubs which is why we are always behind.

I blame the board personally.

Rafael may be top class in time, but i think you need an experienced rb for now someone nearing the end of their career until Rafael is upto top notch.
This was evident last season when every man and his dog had a go at covering that position. Well Jones and Smalling anyway.

posted on 26/7/12

when have arsenal been unlucky in the champions league final in the last few years?

I must have been in a coma that year.

posted on 26/7/12

Rafael is experienced enough at the top level, his medal haul backs that up.

The Arsenal supporters on this thread would have to admit that RVP was the reason you guys got into the top 4 last season. For whatever reason Wenger waits until transfer deadline day to (try and ) replace Fabregas and Nasri.

You had an awful start to the season and without RVP scoring all those goals to come back from losing positions you would certainly have missed out on the CL.

Some will say that your midfielders had some say in setting him up with chances but a huge amount of those goals from RVP were finished because of his world class ability. You have to hope that Giroud and Podolski have that magic touch. Good luck

He was talking about 06 I think. Also against Barca in the 10/11 season.

What a lot of rubbish you said there. Most of RVP's goals were because of the midfield. Only a few were individual brilliance.

posted on 26/7/12

People forget RVP was a lone striker. His job was to score our goals. He wouldnt of got half the goals without our midfield putting it on the plate for him

posted on 26/7/12

2006 was six years ago! Hardly in the last few years is it. And I don't recall you being unlucky against barca so much that you were robbed. van p got sent off justly and they were all over you.

I do think you have some top players coming through though. But what's the point when you know as soon as they hit their prime they will go. you've become nothing more than a feeder club.

Mate, here are a list of some of the stunning goals from him that got you into the CL that few other strikers would have scored.

Everton H
Liverpool A
Chelsea A (hattrick)
Stoke A
Tottenham H (VERY vital goal)
Norwich H

That's just SOME of the goals. Take those away and you would have finished behind Newcastle.
Just accept that RVP covered up the fact you have an average team caused by Wengers refusal to replace big name departures with players of equal ability.
