Maybe, but i dont see us giving out big wages out.
I think it might have something to do with us not having any defenders, so being the only man for that spot they're pretty much garrenteed first team action.
It might also be SoDs approach to things. From transfers we've just had and previous seasons, feeling wanted is a massive part of it (look at pep, the fans made him feel wanted and he came back to us ). SoD must make them feel wanted.
Quite appealing when you think about it for a defender...
Garrenteed First Team games
Being intergrated into a team that may in a season or two be pushing for promotion.
Cant see us giving out too bad wages.
And the feeling of being wanted
Think you have said it all monkey, from the players perspective it must be a very appealing oppertunity, especially when there is a feeling that Forest are about to go onto bigger things
I think it's a (fairly simple) combination of:
Good wages
Good manager
Good owners
Good prospects for the club
Forest's still-famous name and reputation.
How are we doing it? Did you miss the takeover?
I'm very happy with the signings, we're upgrading, getting older players, experience at this level but not going crazy **** or bust like other teams have done.

comment by Derby had an iconic manager once. They let him go. They took 279 to Cardiff. Free tickets for home games only at the sheep dip. (Formerly TorontoTree) (U11214)

I think it's a (fairly simple) combination of:
Good wages - Probably
Good manager - Steady but time will tell.
Good owners - Possibly, too early yet.
Good prospects for the club - lots of work needed.
Forest's still-famous name and reputation. -
Sorry - should have mentioned the fans too, particularly our away support....
4,000 at home cos the goose fair was on.

444 at Palace.
279 sheep at Cardiff.
How are we attracting players with Prem experience?
Partly a matter of perception. Harding said 'Forest is a club going places'.
But we'd hope there's substance beneath that. The new owners seem to mean business. They can't guarantee results on the pitch, but the way they've appointed a sensible choice of manager, who's gone on to sign sensible players, bodes well.
Clearly the players coming in believe we can get promotion. The owners have stressed that it may not be this season, but the will is there (and presumably enough cash to back it up).
I don't think we've any players who are establised starters at that level, they have great experience at this level though which, let's face it, is perfect for now.
