Not really, as they paid 5p in the pound in most cases. We paid HMRC millions from Greens money. They got the same as the others paid and probably more in percentage terms.

Castle
Rugby and Football are not in the same league when it comes to money, now with everything that has happened to Rangers is only there own doing, for years the club was living well above its means, now if and this is if your have been using duel contracts then any sympathy you think Rangers deserve will go out the window...................
Whyte just ripped the p.ssh out of the system to make a fast buck, now I know thats not the fans fault but he was still in charge of your club, the same as Murray, if you have any anger then point towards the two biggest crooks ever to come out of our game
still completely different Castle,if you got the CVA agreed you would've still been in the SPL.You didn't,got liquadated and created a new company so they are completely different scenarios.
There's no talking to them Ibrox. They expect us to accept punishments that have been ruled unlawful by the courts, but nah we weren't victimised.
Not really in law they are both equal ways of exiting administration.
The reality of the 3rd division is sinking in and they're sheeting it Brilliant
Aye but if, if, if
If yer maw had baws she would be yer da!!
Nope once we got booted out SPL (we wanted in the SPL) then we wanted the 3rd.
I'm just pointing out the difference in attitude. One country is sensible, clever and not bigoted. The other being Scotland is bigoted and makes decisions based on hatred.
Exiting administration by liquidation is different from exiting administration by CVA.They still trade under the same company, you dont so comparing them is stupid.
Castle - So Motherwell, Dundee and Livi continued to trade for 9 months without paying PAYe & VAT? No chance.
I know how businesses are run and how strict HMRC are with PAYE. I've had one client crying on the phone to me because HMRC threatened to wind up her business for missing 1 payment on the arrears.
IE - He did shaft you, but only because he didnt slash costs. He gave all those new contracts on big wages to stop the EBTs. The PAYE bill would've been higher this year than last due to this. If McCoist gets into CL then all thats happening now is we're waiting on the big tax case and Rangers would still be the same they always were, and in the SPL. Murray shafted you by putting you in this position; Whyte shafted you by not cutting costs(although he inherited the badly run business with a massive black hole. Remember if the dual contracts thing goes against you he also gave you your first team in a decade that was registered properly); and McCoist shafted you for getting put out of Europe completely and helping make the black hole a chasm.
Nope once we got booted out SPL (we wanted in the SPL) then we wanted the 3rd.
Nope Rangers wanted the 1st division up until the realised they had no chance. Then came the aye but we pyoor want ra 3rd division so we dae
Also a few weeks back, despite being their biggest and local rivals, Leeds donated the entire gate income from their home match with Bradford towards helping to keep the club afloat
Can you f * cking imagine Celtic having a whipround to save the Gers!?!

Not really Timinator.
In England the club is treated the same and rightly so. In England you are given a 15 point penalty. So why is this done in England with no fuss whatsoever if it's so different?
The SPL allows for Newco as well, however the clubs made decisions based on grabbing power, hatred, jealousy and bigotry of fans
brawler, you might be surprised
I would've been all for it Brawler...........if yeez had begged.I have a few coppers to spare
(Better add that I wouldn't expect it to happen if the boot was on the other foot, but it higlights the bitterness towards Rangers in general from some quarters).
*And again, I think the same bitterness would be shown towards Celtic by similar people if they were placed in a similar predicament
It's not a "big conspiracy" against us, it's just too many bawbags have too small-minded a view to see the bigger picture sometimes
CelticDave your have a valid point when you are talking small business's. Not football clubs.

Some feet-kissing for some shrapnel...sometimes every little doesnae help! :P
I'm not saying it was a conspiracy Brawler, but I expected better from the SFA, SPL (the other clubs) not being swayed by mickey mouse media stirring things up and brain dead fans.
Let our new club back in
You know it's different, and you know your a new club so you don't deserve to be there You'll be in admin again by Xmas when all the fans get fed up of watching a tribute act.
Castle like you say the SPL allows for Newco to be in the SPL but it also has the right to not let you in,which was the decision the clubs took, not illegally like you keep claiming, the clubs just didn't want 1 club to get preferential treatment and to get treated the same as any other club, which you could put your house on if Motherwell or dundee liquidated and created a new company they would've been booted to the 3rd division no questions asked.
Oh dear Kayal. UEFA disagrees. Every other club in history it's happened to is the same club, but not rangers, right?
