i think reading/fulham had confirmed bids..
we had a confirmed bid for peltier but that didnt come off..
with the confusion at blackburn kean might not even know what was bid and for who???
they didnt sack him for the simple reason that the fans loathe him more than they loathe the owners..this is not a club that will be a pretty sight by x mas..

rovers owners will be fully aware of the kind of figure dean wants to consider selling jordan..
they bid way under to throw up a smokescreen of being ambitious whilst knowing full well they wont get the player..they wont say how much they bid and they know dean wont spill the beans..

Don't believe everything you read, Blackburn fans were attacked on both nights.
As for Rhodes you're right we have probably bid about £3.30 upfront with a further £0.20 should we gain relegation to league 1.

i dont believe the "riots" cr-p from the dutch..
they have violence at lots of games every week...they dont report it like we do on the much fewer occasions we have it here now..
the "riot" bit was added because english football fans were involved.. they will pretend it only happened because of that..

I agree and the rovers officials know full well what happened, but they aren't coming out and defending our fans. On the contrary they are happy for us to be labelled as "hooligans"
It just gives Kean and his cronies more ammunition for the media to call our fans as out of order because we want them out.

Our fans love the club and believe me no one wants to protest, but the fans have been labelled as racist/Violent/Hooligans when it is nothing of the sort.

The whole Rhodes situation is a strange one. Obviously the guy scores goals for fun but in no way is he worth £8 million. I'm not having a go or anything he is your player and you are entitled to ask whatever price you want for him. We've done the same in the past selling players for way more than they are actually worth. Santa Cruz sold for circa £18 million.

I can't for the life of me see why he would want to come to Rovers at this time even if we had an offer accepted. The whole place is toxic at the moment and I for one will be surprised to see us in the top half next season.

However, I said the same before Murphy and Best joined so maybe the money on offer is too good to turn down. I've also heard rumours that our offer to him would include a release clause if we failed to get promoted so he might feel as though he has nothing to lose.

a release clause isnt great after a possibly very poor season..
if rhodes couldnt score a few for rovers in a season where they ended up in the 3rd division, then his options would be very much reduced at the end of it..
he does not need a release clause with us, he is getting a much improved contract and if he carries on scoring at anywhere near the rate he did last season, someone will stump up the money to buy him.. everyone has their price, dean knows this...we all know this...

makes you realise how lucky we are with Dean Hoyle owning the club. Plus when the shares get sorted (as they will) the whole stadium complex should be secured against foreign predators who come into English football, asset strip and beggar off.

We really dont expect to get up this season but I do expect a full contingency plan to be ready for use should it actually happen.. being relegated from the premier league isnt the worst thing that can happen, but having a season being spanked regularly ending in relegation might have long lasting affects...

The fact that Kean has gone public with this offer is yet another display of all that is wrong at Rovers at the moment and an example of the kind of man he is.
