I have no interest really in Scotland, but what planet is this guy on?
It's like he's ripping the pash out the supporters ffs
I just don't get his logic whatsoever.
If Black could control the red mist, he'd be a fantastic player for both Rangers and Scotland, he's a complete nutjob though, he should take a look at Scott Brown who, though he still has his moments, has curbed his demons.
Levein is a goat, I thought he'd be the man top modernise and progress us internationally...More fool me and god help us as we slip further and further down the rankings.

I want to see Scottish Football progress as a Celtic fan.
Do you Scotland fans not find it strange that your national manager continues to tell players to move to England, I mean shouldn't he be helping to promote his country's own game too?
I think Levein is doing an awful lot of good work off the park and hopefully we'll reap the benefits in years to come.
But, and it's a big but, he's been facking awful as a coach for the senior team. His squad selections are baffling, his explanations for his decisions have been at best confusing, and his team tactics have been dreadful.
I can't see how he's going to complete the section as manager and I worry we'll finish bottom of the group. Genuinely.

Strachan would be a good choice for you, he did really well in the 'Champions League' for Celtic and usually had five or six Scots in the team at the same time too.
Foreheed
You of all folk should appreciate that having players playing against tougher opponents in England week in week out is more beneficial o your national team than having them playing against humdrum opponennts in your native league, the only LOI player I can recall playing for Ireland got his chance under a manager that had bossed in the LOI, Brian Kerr and Glen Crowe

Strachan would cost too much probably.
There's a reason why Levein got the job.
Hector.
We know the League of Ireland is what it is and I appreciate you need to play at a higher level.
But I think it's different with very young Scottish players who show potential for six months and then go to England and don't kick a ball.
He can't say on one hand he's modernising the youth game and then as soon as a player is developed tell him he needs to go to England.
Foreheed
A player learns develops best when he is still learning, I would prefer to see all good Scottish players staying in Scotland and the SPL is a brilliant place to cut your teeth, but to progress you have to constantly be tested, to do that a move to England (EPL / top championship team) is the way to go.
I wasn't having a dig at the LOI, I'm that weird thing, a Sligo/Shamrock Rovers admirer, but Ireland as a national team has reaped the benefit of players decamping to England, BECAYUSE it's a better chance to learn (and cash in)
This a total joke of a selection. The gut was not picked previously so why is he now being chosen. Incidentally, he was utter guff yesterday and playing against poorer players every week does not improve a players all round game.
As Ivan says, Levein is having a total nightmare as Scotland boss. However, I don't want Strachan either and find it amusing that Celtic fans wish to put him forward for the job. He was chased out of Parkhead so why is he now good enough for the national job? The guy is also seriously immature and irritating, hardly an ambassador for Scottish football as far as i am concerned

He walked away after 5 years, and his style was not suited to our longing for free flowing football...HOWEVER...He is a talented pragmatic manager, experienced and good at getting the best out of Scottish mediocrity (McManus/Caldwell)
Blacks call up if a feckin joke. Levein is a total walloper. Everything he does is baffling...but then again he is employed bg the SFA so explains a lot...
I disagree Hector and I do not want to see Scotland play that way either, do you.
His constant drivel is a huge negative aspect for me.
Ivan
Never seen yourop bid. But I've just created one on the same subject. Levein just keeps digging. What an idiot he is

When Levein was given the job there was serious support for the decision. I really enjoyed the way he got us going at United and the style of play was very attractive. Something has seriously changed with the guy. He is now unbelievably negative and erratic in his actions. The continued selection of particular individuals is beyond frustrating. He is 2 bad results away from the boot
Also, can someone please tell me why GMS has not been included is this squad?

I hear you, but absence makes the heart grow fonder...
We need to re-learn how to walk before we run, Levein is the latest in a long line of Scottish managers who thinks too much...We're Scotland, we're not very good but we have heart, that's why I think wee Gordo is the man, he'd get us back to basics and if he came in NOW, we'd have abetter chance to make Brazil...imo.
Please.. not Strachan .. please. I really do not think I could suffer any more of his unfunny 'quips'.
Mediocre manager. Shiite comedian.
