I think the club is already guaranteed somewhere in the region of 4-5 million.
Add to this the fact that we have young players other teams actually want to buy, and I think we can see just why the board were so dismissive of the death of Rangers.
I do not think the club will buy before the tie. I do think Lennon will have targets lined up, and it will all hinge on whether we qualify.

I'd go with exactly the same team in Sweden as we did in Finland. Except play Kayal since Wanyama is banned.

Is Wanyama out for 1 or 2 games, think we'll need him for the home leg
I don't know, I'd imagine it was just one game since it was two yellow cards and not a straight red.
we've qualified for the group stages of the EL btw so there will only be 3 guaranteed home games after this
Ki will go, and it looks like we will get circa 8m for him, which is very good business and, to my reckoning, the first and only successful player transaction and development in many a long year.
Combine Ki sale with, say, 10-15m ecl money, and the club will basically pay off the debt.
Next season it'll be Wanyama that goes. They will hope to have another coming through to sell the year after.
This is our business model, basically. At least it look like winning the league gives us a realistic shot at the cl, avoiding sides like Arsenal in the quals.
Future could be rosy.

Ghod, I know.
What I meant was that we will have got a good amount of money from five extra home games (3 EL and 2CL qualifiers).
I agree Tim.
UEFA actually did something smart for once, giving the domestic Champions a better chance at qualifying.
It gives us and the likes of the Swiss, Romanians a better chance.
Kayal was playing well on Sat so Id have him in the team regardless of big Vic's situation. If we can win by 2 goals in sveeden then I cant see us missing out. I know footy is unpredictable but with a 2 goal win away and 1 goal at home we should be home and dry. I watched Helsingborgs play. They are a lot better than Helsinki but again we should be getting by them.
What we want to do (REALISTICALLY) is get in the 'Champions League' take the €15million-€16million and then hopefully finish third and drop into the 'Europa League'.
I would take a 2-1 defeat away to helsingborgs, as long as we score a goal and don't concede more than 2 or 3 i would fancy our chances
Get in the cl, get city, watch their players all bounce off of big Victor, then watch Mancini ask 'how much dae ye want?'
That is pretty much what pistol dreamt last night.
They scored 7 yesterday in the league at home but conceded 2
Do Helsingborgs have a hedge
