We got a trophy for it.

Trophies

You're missing the point. You won something meaningless, it might as well have been a community shield.

-------------------

But Top 4 is also meanginless if you go out in the second round/quarter finals of the Champions League. Its only meaningful if you go on to win it. Otherwise its the equivalent of Crawley Town playing the FA CUp.

You won a piece of metal that represents no footballing achievement. It's a reserve trophy for all serious teams. Nothing more.

We've won some good youth trophies in the last few years, maybe we should start boasting about them too

Not business wise.

The youth team wins more tophies than the first team

True. We have better players than him just like all the Top Seven clubs.

At the end of the day big teams play reserve teams in Carling Cup because we are fighting for the league and champions league. Well done for winning a reserve cup

"we are fighting for the league and champions league."

Seriously?
You believe this?

You have two youngsters of note don't you? Sterling and that Spanish lad, forgotten his name. At least they appear better than the current crop a lot of you were bigging up two years ago.

Giroulski

I'm sorry to break this to you. But if the League Cup is so insignificant, why did Jack Wilshere burst into tears when you got beat by Brum?

Give me 3rd place and no capital one cup over ONE capital one cup and 8th place behind everton every day of the week!.

His first season playing consistently and he wanted to do the best he could in every game. I bet he did that following our defeat to Barca too.

And then you wonder why all your best players leave

I just may be leaving ja606 soon. Too many juvenile trolls on the Arsenal board that turn this place to a joke. We're the most numerous here and seem to have a disproportionate number of children and dim-wits with nothing of substance to discuss other than trolling other teams all day long.

What exactly was this article meant to achieve?

posted on 23/8/12

Carling cup is played until Feb, where the second round of Champions league hasn't started and we are still in with a chance to win the league. Hence why we pay our youth/reserve players.

Liverpool fans need to get into the real world

Liverpool were once a big club but are no longer a big club. They're the laughing stock of English football. The sooner Liverpool fans realise this the better.

For the record, up until recently I quite liked Liverpool. Recently your managers have been unbearable, your players have been nasty people as well as being mediocre, the race rows didn't help, your football is nowhere near what it once was. When I was younger I always thought of Liverpool as far more than I do now.

That's the reality of it, you're not the club you used to be.
