Kagawality, ridiculous comparison between Tevez and RVP. You NEARLY had the same situation with Rooney going to City but instead of accepting it and moving on you gathered up a group of people to crowd around his house and give him death threats.
was it just me who interpreted his statement as,
"IVAN AND WENGER, I love this club, go make us challenge for the big titles this year. otherwise i'm gone."
If we get two more defensive-ish players i'll be slightly satisfied, but where on earth are our goals going to come from?
Well, Arsenal can retaliate by signing Berba for 5 mio quid.
Because his languid, lazy style wouldn't suit our style of play and he is far too erratic. Although he's scored some brilliant goals, I've also seen him miss some ridiculous sitters. He has an impeccable first touch and is decent with his back to goal, but he's not what he we need. You also don't know whether he'll make an effort or not.
I'd prefer a striker with some pace and speed who will work hard for the team.
Berba plays very similarly to RVP and the only reason SAF dropped him is for personal reasons which I hope we find out one day what they are. Arsenal has enough pace. And I think the way he has been treated by SAF, he will have a chip on his shoulder and show some effort.
anyway, i am not advocating is. Wenger has enough good players not to go for such a move. Plus, Berba is 31. Just purely playing devil's advocate.
How does Berbatov play like van Persie? I don't see that similarity at all.
I've seen Berbatov play enough times to know that you never know what you'll get with him. I've seen him stroll around aimlessly without a care in the world on the pitch for whatever reason. Talented? Yes, but he's a short-term fix for a long-term problem regardless of whether he's good enough or not.
Besides, I doubt he'll go to us anyway as he was previously with Spurs.
Samir is 100% spot on. Berbatov is shiite. And apart from that first touch and good link up play, he has very little else.
