Really? Dzeko isn't worth the money we'd pay in wages/cost, and Isco would hardly replace Cazorla in the middle, who would be wasted out wide.

LD: Dzeko is proven in the Premier League! Dont get me wrong, i know he would be expensive but i think a lack of striker experienced in the Premier League will ultimately cost us this season. Giroud may well adapt but we dont have time to wait! Not if we want to compete! Isco in the middle wouldnt necesserily be a static formation, the three behind could have free roles?
Cereal: I completely agree, i just talking about a hypothetical situation - i know none of the suggested players will be signed - but if Wenger has faith in the current squad then so do i

Having spent his entire career playing there, that's a bizarre statement. I think Wenger will put Santi on the left when Jack's back too 100%, with his first choice line up being this (this is chiefly guesswork, though.)

The new boys didnt really have any pre season so now is effectively their pre season. At a new club, with new team mates and with a new ball introduced this year.
I would expect another game or two before they settle.

Thinking positively, if you reduce both the goals you score and the goals you let in in a 1:1 ratio the team is actually more likely to get more points.
Scenario 1: you play 50 games, score 100 and let in 50
Scenario 2: you play 50 games, score 75 and let in 25
In the second scenario you score 3 goals for every 1 you let in, in the first scenario you only score 2 goals for every 1 you let in. Same goal difference mind you!

I suppose we just have to be patient with the new lads but two seasons of waiting for a new side to adjus is ridiculous! We can't keep rebuilding the team every summer! Or is that what the club has become now? Harsh reality!
Cazorla hasn't spent his whole career out wide, he has played in wider positions when needed. He's an attacking midfielder.
Our style works best with a player in the middle linking play up and working it around. Cazorla is very good at that and has shown it in the short time he's had here. We shouldn't waste the ability he has to fit in Isco. If we don't feel our wide men are good enough, replace them.

The implication is that he has been utilised in that position in numerous instances throughout the entirety of his career. I'm just crap at English.

Good try but calm down, we've only played Sunderland and Stoke. Neither are great attacking teams.
We will see how much the extra work really pays off in the next few games against Liverpool, Chelsea, City etc.
