WTF is Crawley? Don't worry guys Ginger is still available.
He has 6 more games for me.
Clearly not the real WF...
campo no iam not the real WF who ever he is MATE just a p$$$$d of fan who spends lots of money every year and make a 210mile round trip every home game
As much as I dislike us getting beaten our result wasn't the worst in this competition.
Our opponents on Saturday for example were 2-0 up against a team in the same division as Crawley and lost 3-2.
Lets all get a grip of ourselves, support the team and hopefully we'll improve. If we aren't in a good place in November say then get the pitch forks out and start googling the names of out of work managers.
As long as you keep doing the Predictions League WF. That keeps us all sane! Cheer up! At least we don't have Megson or Steve Kean in charge of us!
Sorry but my patience has run out. Why should Coyle be given any more time. This has gone on long enough. We have been on a downward spiral from that bloody day at Wembley in April 2011. Nearly 18 months. How much more time does he want?
In my opinion, he only survived the sack at the end of last season because of the fan's goodwill he had banked previously. To me, he has been drawing on that goodwill for far too long, without replacing it. The balance is now zero and he is using an overdraft facility called borrowed time.
And yes, I do have a replacement in mind. Someone who will tell the players like it is. Someone who will say, 'If you don't like it, you know where the exit is' Someone who will give these underperforming players a kick up the harris. (I firmly believe that the current lot are not playing for Coyle for whatever reason and I don't believe he has the personality or nous to get a grip of them).
My man would be Mick McCarthy, out of work, experienced and strong willed. And I would have him in NOW!!!!!
JAH - wrong WF. The OP is the other one.
Terrible terrible choice Shanton! Ask the Wolves, Sunderland anu any other clubs fans where he's managed FFS! He was and is disaster, hence why he's not managed to get another job! We don't want someone who is out of work - what have they got to lose? Nothing. We need someone who has the starting of a good track record.
You might as well say Ian Dowie or Billy Davies - all the usual suspects who are all rubbish!!!!!
Our next manager should be foreign. I would move hell and high water to get Hierro in if OC was to be sacked or quit, or another young Spanish manager.
OC has 7-10 games to save his job and our season imo. Hull is up next! COYWM!
Not bothered about Crawley, but if, on Saturday, after 90 minutes against a Hull side that also lost last night, I'm trudging back along the M62 with another defeat in the bank, then for me Coyle has 1 game left. Watford at home. Mess that up and he is toast.
Coyle I clueless. I've said it for years
Terrible terrible choice Shanton!
Why? Not claiming he is the best at Premiership level but he has a proven track round at this level. And why are you prepared to give this clown more time? His clock has stopped ticking. He has had more than enough time. Can't understand this give him another 5,.7,10 or 12 games lark. For what reasons? If he can't get them prepared in pre-season for what's to come, what makes anyone think that it is suddenly just going to drop into shape? Extending his tenure means that when he does finally get flirted the next guy is playing catch up.
Coyle is a nice enough guy but clueless. We and him should be put out of the misery now.
Posted on another thread but relevant here:
What scares me more than leaving OC in his job is being trigger happy and hiring a Megson in his place. If there was a stand-out manager that we had a hope of attracting then brill, OC has his 10 games and moves on and we hire Mr X, but without a realistic suitable candidate out there and all the usual suspects all out of work I would rather give OC the chance to turn it around than Mick M/Ian Dowie/Billy Davies/Gary Megson/Gary Davies or do a Wolves and fire OC and not be able to get any one else in - that would put LSL back in charge!!!
The trouble is that for the last 18 months, we have been going backwards under Coyle.
Each week he is here, we risk falling further and thus making it even harder for a new manager to pick us up off the floor.
Megson did better than Coyle btw Holdsworth, but seriously, there are some good managers out there that would do a lot better than Coyle.
Rafa, Bruce, Warren Joyce (manu reserve manager) without even thinking about it.
This is not a better the devil you know time. We have the players just not the manager.
RB
I would look at:
Rafa (he wouldn't come though, but worth asking the question)
Warren Joyce (I take your word on this one, but if he is reserve manager at man u, that is the sort of person we should be looking at).
Fernando Hierro - one of my favs
I just don't want to hear any of the following names associated with us:
Ian Dowie
Gordan Strachan
Peter Reid - Tho he's the best out of these
Steve Bruce
Mark Hughes
Billy Davies
Mick McCarthy
We may get someone worse than coyle if we sack him but then maybe not. Not a good enough excuse for him to keep his job long term. It actually does not make sense in football.
