He hasn't been backed by his chairman. He hasn't been given the players who can play his system. Levy has Really facked it this time. I'm sick of him and his ego. Harry had his faults but we played some great stuff with some great players. Yes it went a little pear shapes at the end of the season but jeez, today has to be the dullest and most uninspiring performance I have seen since the mid nineties. We are going mid table again
Spot on Smeg, as bad as Ramos last few games? Not much in it.
I want some young, hungry players given a chance like Townsend, who have a point to prove and show they're good enough
Give it a few more weeks before we judge. We haven't seen his vision in action yet with all his signings playing together and gelled properly.
The really worrying thing is players normally play well when a new manager comes in.

Exactly I think some of our players think they're undroppable and aren't giving they're all tbh.

And i bet Brad is dropped next game, our best player so far.
I think AVB does revolution not evolution, and he hasn't been backed properly - he needs time to settle with what he's been given (how fit is Ade, how much time has Siggs had to find his role, how much time have crucial new signings like Dembele and Dempsey had with the team? - just three to start us off).
Also, the one thing I think the commentator got spot on today (about the only thing ) was that we seemed to be playing an alien, rigid system. This couldn't be more different to the previous 'just enjoy yourselves and fackin' run about a bit' regime. It will take time. It might do us ok in the cups this season if we find our feet, but as I've been saying all along, not in the league, and I can live with that. But can Levy, the press, and the more critical of our supporters?
I've no idea, but I really hope so. Because with this change Levy's staked it all really, and I think we've gone past the point of no return.
Let's keep the faith and support the team - we really have no other choice.

good point Smeg...oh dear it seems we are going backward

In fairness to AVB the only two players he wanted Levy mucked up ( well at least one).....Do you really think he wanted the double D's ?

We seemed to do a lot better when that happened to now.. I think I could become manager if that's all that needs to be said!!
With Arry I knew what I was gonna get at WHL, with AVB I have no clue..
think huddlestone might have started the next game.
if he wasnt banned
JPB - I fairly am sure it will be appealed. He got the ball, didn't he (?)
I do worry if AVB is going to have the man-management skills to bring the best out of these players. Maybe his footballing philosophy is spot on, but if you're not making players feel comfortable and confident then it means feck all. This is where Arry could compensate for his lack of tactical awareness.
Wot were the two players AVB wanted that Levy wouldn't pay for?
Ted - Willian and Moutinho (aka 'the midfield engine room we no longer have since we sold Modders'.
^ forum fail there - was meant to be a ' and then a close brackets - no cheeky (or rude!) wink intended.
I like cheeky winks
I do remember now all the talk of Moutinho. Seems so long ago!
