And several years of joy, and a team to be proud of. This season has shown it's not *purely* about winning trophies, because if it were, then everyone would be purely delighted right now.

I could get behind a lot more of the whining about the league position if we'd thrown away a title race to try and win the Europa.

But let's be really honest, this squad ain't winning the league. It's not close. With no Europe we got fifth. Maybe could have been top 4 but it's marginal. So with Europe, a proper go at it, while signing teenagers you're realistically looking at mid table

You can't put Ange's Europa League win purely down to luck. The only reason we were in it is because he got 5th place last season

Come on be serious. I was jumpping around like a lunatic when we won as well but just look at things honestly, who the hell did we play wo win it?

Ok I will give him the Eintrach game away a tough game and a great win but we were one of the favourites from the start.

I am not knocking it its games to win a trophy but its not like we faced any top teams. Bodo in the semi finals, really?

The worst united team in my lifetime in the final. Come on.

Yes its great to get the monkey off our backs but lets see it for what it was.

I think that's fair. You'd really have to stretch reality to suggest we should be anything better than mid table while winning a European Cup with this squad. So crying about being 17th instead of 10th or whatever seems silly to me.

Ange deserves respect for breaking a 17 year draught. For having the balls to say it and achieve it.

That does not make him the guy to take us forwards tho. Ben Davies deserves respect for his years at the club but that does not stop him being second rate.

We don’t have to dismiss what Poch did to point score.

His tenure was unreal and gave us some great moments and performances.

Nothing quite like Wednesday night but pretty damn close

This is where I’m at. If we was a trophy winning club then this would be unacceptable but we aren’t.

17 years since our last trophy so I’ll take this league form on the chin this time.

I’ll wait to see what the club decide and go from there but I’ll be carrying on with wanting better owners

Sadly its not down to me but I dont think the Fulham guy is the answer they are as hit and miss as we are.

I mean, if it's Ange vs history how lucky was we to get to the CL final that we lost? Barely got out the group. Lucas heroics. It was fun of course, great times. But was a heroic failure

We should have won a trophy under Poch but he also "prioritised" competitions and fielded weakened sides in competitions which infuriated me at the time and I made it clear on this board.

Well it infuriated me as much this time with Ange doing the same.
