I agree Bales
Its a shame the late Poch investment didn't work out, virtually none of it came good. Everyone has a dud deal every now and then, we spent £120m on 3 duds in one window, although we were all pretty excited about them at the time.
We will have gone too far with our buy kids policy if that's all we do this summer. At least 2 big signings needed and a very decent Richarlison replacement if he goes . Chuck in KWP on a free, that Japan lad for £5m and I will feel like we have strong options all over the pitch and on teh bench.
If our bench is made up of the likes of - Danso, Spence, KWP, Bergvall, Sarr, Gray, Odobert, Richarlison/new FWD, Son, Tel, Kinsky, BJ then that is a wealth of options

Every summer you should be buying 2 plus ready made first team players plus the same in upcoming youngsters.
That way you’re keeping the first team fresh and competitive while having a non stop conveyor belt of talent either ready to step up or potentially ready to be sold to keep funds flowing.
We’ve been shocking in both.

We shouldn’t be signing the likes of kwp for club trained space.
He’s not good enough & in a year time when our problems start sorting themselves out we’ll be stuck with them.
Take the short term hit for the long term gain

He's free.
He's also a free addition to the UCL squad .
He can do a job!
Sometimes, needs must.

He couldn’t do the job when he was last here why could he now?
Also we know a free transfer isn’t free. Sign on bonus, agent fee, will want a long term contract etc
Basically stuck with a player for nothing more than quota box ticking

I think now that we've largely completed a large rebuild of the squad that will be more how we proceed.
We have added something like 13 players to the squad under Ange and others like Sarr and Udogie have come in from the fringes/loan.
There's only about 7 or 8 in the squad who were in before Ange. Theres been a lot of necessary change.

Every player attracts those costs.
No transfer fee, saving us potentially millions. And i am sure it will likely be a short deal and even if its longer, at no fee, wed probably be willing to sell on for nothing in the future...and probably a big sign on fee and lower wages to make it easier to shift down the line.

I'd be ok with it until some of the players like Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Tel start to settle in, become key parts of the squad and will count as "club trained"
Its part of the reason for going young, so long as they do 2 consecutive years while under U21 (3 if 1 year is elsewhere) they will count as "club trained".

There’s a great homegrown player in Germany right now. Maybe levy could tell him we’re gonna win the premier league.

We’ve distanced ourselves from Eze, likely because the wages are too steep, not just because Arsenal are involved. I’ve stopped caring now. Levy is killing our club, absolutely butchering it right before our eyes. Anyone still defending that cvnt can do one. We’re gonna end up with Semenyo at best and we’re the ones in the CL. The club is dead.
At this point, I’d take Sancho.
