Frank does build from the back in some games doesn’t he

Think it’s about struggling in games against lesser opposition, I agree about need for a passer more creative outlet from deep but problem is we have 4 or 5 samey players which 1 will be moved on if that knowing our abilities to get rid

Dunno why there's an impression our midfield can't pass all of a sudden. Palhinha ain't gonna be Xavi and we need to shift Bissouma but the rest can do a job

Would say Bergvall and Sarr in particular are poor passers for starting spots in the midfield of a team that has top-6 aspirations

A certain podcast that Chris doesn’t like people mentioning as to much power with our fan base

relative to the teams we're competing with Bentancur, Bergvall, Sarr and Palhinha are all very limited passers. Everyone who finished in the top 6 last season has a good deep progressive passer in their midfield two. All of ours are just very conservative with how much they want to play forward.

we've already seen how it's caused us issues this pre season in the games we've had more of the ball in

I didn't realise this was such a controversial talking point, I thought everyone was on the same page going into this transfer window that we needed a different kind of midfielder

Well the only one is Maddison and you would want him further up the pitch as a 10. Newcastle have Bruno, Villa have Tielemans, even palace have Wharton

Which will give the back four some protection and make us hard to beat.

Romero and Porro can play forward balls. Paulinha can ping a ball. Bents is good at keeping the ball ticking along as well.

It's not that bigger deal. Year one, build the foundation.

We’re not signing another CM unless 2 leave

if we're relying on Sarr for dynamism

Sarr is grate

I like him

but a Palhinha-Sarr midfield is so stodgy, really should be competing for the same spot next to someone more technical imo

Palhinha and Bergvall in midfield for me

Sarr attacking mid finishing the season with 28 g/a and 472 pressing actions

Should sign the 7ft Korean geezer who picked up Son.

Bet he has an eye for a pass. Looks like the complete midfielder to me.
