Can we just concentrate on the players we have, and not on hypothetical signings that may or may not happen.
The way forward on any future signings, is Spurs put inv a good bid for the club and the player. Just the one bid. If there is any messing about from the off, pull the plug straight away. If a player seriously wants to join, he will jump at the first chance. Clear as mud neither MGW or Eze had the slightest intention of ever joining Spurs. Both clearly lack ambition. And are only interested in the money.

Yes realistic ones. It was so so obvious MGW, Savinio or Eze didn't want Spurs. If a player wants a club, he doesn't spend weeks dithering and delaying. Eze was just waiting for Arsenal to come in. Spurs have dodged a bullet in my opinion. Average player that prefers Woolwich over us.
Just don't get why our club don't wise up earlier on all these long protracted transfer saga that never happen.

I'm not buying the "we tried" BS rhetoric. It's constantly the same outcome with this bald fraud. With more ambition this signing could have been achieved sooner but we know how Levy operates.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he will have lost the last few believers. I’d be interested to hear from Dev at this point. He always felt that this was the window to truly judge Levy and it’s been a disaster so far.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I certainly hope so. This should have been his make or break moment this window, showing he has the ambition to give the fans the sort of business we crave and he's blown it once again.
Those Levy loyalists will have a lot of mud on their faces now. We can still make 1 or 2 signings but everything from this point is going to be a downgrade on what we could and should have had.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, football success these days is locked in to how much you spend, particularly on wages. All the time we have Levy, there’s a ceiling we just can’t break. It’s such a shame because since they came in we’d been progressively building into a regular European team then a CL team under Poch. I always thought that once we’d made that step, the financial ambition would match the on field success but it hasn’t so this is the first era of sorts that I feel really distanced from the club. All the time that ceiling is there, all the time we can’t compete financially, I wonder why I’m cheering every goal. It all feels so pointless. Before anyone tears me down for that, this is just how I feel. It’s a very personal feeling and I’m not expecting anyone else to feel the same. I just don’t believe in this ‘project’ anymore. We’ve knocked our heads on the ceiling for the first time. That’s the problem. We’ve seen the limit and that’s really depressing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Face it Fridge you are only happy when Spurs fail. You couldn't even be happy when Spurs won the Europa. Any kind of meaningful success for Spurs and it would be game up for you. You just like to be miserable and negative 24/7, and have now been rumbled by a lot more on the board, other than me.

If that's true thank God it isn't happening. It would be astonishing and stupid to let a fella who in such fine form leave in order to get a very overrated player who has had to wait until he is 27 to get a big move.

Pawl, it will almost certainly be media bollox. But of course we do have some gullible supporters who believe everything they hear on Sky or social media.
Ritchie has started well, so no way would the club be thinking of moving him on right now.

Kinda point of a transfer thread is to talk about potential players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes realistic ones.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No anyone we are linked with.
MGW clearly wanted to come but can’t do nothing of his club refuse to let him go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He clearly preferred a payrise at Forest to coming to Spurs. He could have easily engineered a move to Spurs if he truely wanted to come. The fact is as soon as extra wonga was dangled in front of him at Forest, that was the end of the fiasco.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We was offering more in wages than his new contract.
Not getting into it with someone like you though

Can we just concentrate on the players we have, and not on hypothetical signings that may or may not happen.
The way forward on any future signings, is Spurs put inv a good bid for the club and the player. Just the one bid. If there is any messing about from the off, pull the plug straight away. If a player seriously wants to join, he will jump at the first chance. Clear as mud neither MGW or Eze had the slightest intention of ever joining Spurs. Both clearly lack ambition. And are only interested in the money.

Not sure if that's fair. I suspect there may have been an aspect of club loyalty come into it, for which objectively he should be commended.

I know you have to take Sky transfer news with a pinch of salt but I nearly fell off my chair last night when they claimed we were offering Richi as part of the Eze deal.
If that's true thank God it isn't happening. It would be astonishing and stupid to let a fella who in such fine form leave in order to get a very overrated player who has had to wait until he is 27 to get a big move.
If he's that good where was the interest when Palace signed him?

Richy in fine form?
It’s been one game ffs. Who knows if he’ll even be fit for the next one.

Of course you won't. You have been banging on all Sunner about how Spurs are going to sign MGW, Eze and Savinho and are now having to eat humble pie. Something you don't like doing.
Let that be a lesson, don't get sucked in by all the media nonsense until a player actually has the Spurs shirt on.

I thought he was very good in the Europa final, Super Cup and on Sat so why on earth would we want him out at the moment? I'd be more inclined to offer Solanke.
Football is all about the here and now and right now Richi is hot.

Pawl, it will almost certainly be media bollox. But of course we do have some gullible supporters who believe everything they hear on Sky or social media.
Ritchie has started well, so no way would the club be thinking of moving him on right now.
