I think sometimes we should be going 4-2-3-1 instead of 4-3-3 with Bale or Dele as the no 10 role. Bale having less pace maybe more suited to that.

Yeah you can tell he's class. I literally just meant the speed though. Maybe it's fitness? But he tried knocking it past the left back yesterday and was nowhere near it. I think he'll be more an impact player than the Bale who left, who could destroy fullbacks and win games by himself.

Bale is like that classic sports car that has been sat in the garage for a few years, when you decide to take it out you find it has a flat battery, when you finally get it started you find it has a misfire and needs a tune up / service, it needs a few runs out / tinkering with until it is running like new again. It will have lost a few horse powers over the years, but is still faster than most other cars on the road after a tune up.

Yeah....but while its been sitting in the garage gathering dust,......all the new models have bulked up with more HP and are much faster and more agile, and brake really much better.
So you have to tooodle along in your old classic with the hood down and a "I'm a classic" look on your face while the new ones shoot past.
Been there, done that!
I'll give you one thing though................
if it really is a "classic" it will cost a lot........just like Bale!

I had an Austin Healy 3000 banger one time, left hand drive. Brought it back to the States, and eventually sold it for a lot more than it cost.
