I said 1 1 on the match build up pretty much exactly how it went just schlupp not benteke, bottled it in the predo league

Hope we start GLC alongside PEH and Dele instead of NDombele at Anfield... won't happen sadly

We desperately need a progressive CM if we are not going to use winks

Think we'll get embarrassed at Anfield. Will only be 2-0, but they'll have 20+ shots vs our 1.

Blame Lloris as his butter fingers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not even blaming Lloris. The goal was coming, whether it was his mistake or Benteke finally making a header count. We shouldn't be defending for a whole 45 mins. Nobody wants to see that.

Not good. Don’t want to think about it, but there’s a possibility if Liverpool beat us on Wednesday we could be 5 points adrift of them..after being level on points this morning. Really need 3 points here today
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think Fulham may shock them today.

If we can nick a point or more Wednesday all will be forgiven.

Need to improve in these kinda games though, knew today would be tough, fair play to Palace they were decent and knocked on the door better than city, Chelsea or arsenal did.

Sorry but Jose got the tactics all wrong today. They aren’t City or Chelsea, we should not be playing two DMs and conceding so much possession and trying to foul our way to a 0-1 against a bottom half side with the attacking quality we have. It’s horses for courses, not one size fits all. I knew we’d drop points today, said it’s the kind of game we fack up in when other teams (Utd, Chelsea, City) drop points. We never capitalise or punish rivals when they stutter, we always let them off the hook. That was a really sheite performance and two points stupidly and needlessly dropped.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We played attack to get in the lead which was the right tactic and then at 1-0 we played like we play at 0-0 v better sides. The problem is when you play like that you have to win the game. It’s unacceptable to not win the game because we showed no ambition to get a second goal until it was too late. So once you decide to shut up shop you better facking do so and come away with the points and the only excuse would be a worldly or a refereeing howler. Neither of those happened today and that is a rubbish result

Its not only about being top of the table its about the likes of city and chelsea closing in on us over the next few games

The amount of set piece corners and freekicks Spurs were giving away, it was obvious they would score one of them eventually.

Even when we were sitting back every second ball, loose balls, duels we seem to loose. And we barely strung a few passes together. That Part of our game was really a frustrating watch .

If we're going to stick with this counter attacking style then we need some better players to keep the ball. Someone like Zaha would have done for us today who can retain possession and dribble with the ball, and at least do more with it to prevent us living in our own half and occasionally attacking.

Get ready for the Sky love in for Liverpool now.

Jose was too cautious and too slow to change things in second half. Basically waited until we conceded. This is where he fails and how we will ultimately come up short this season.

Chelsea were in front of Spurs earlier in the season and they lost yesterday.

Perhaps play GLC and Alli with Hobjerg against Liverpool, slightly more attacking. No point in playing defensive football against Liverpool, they will eat us alive. Must attack them

Back 6 tactic is starting to have issues with defending the space on the edge of the penalty area

Is Jose now going to learn from this result and get us being more adventurous, the way he learnt from the West Ham result to be more cautious?

Not sure we can blame a manager that has taken Spurs to the top of the Prem.

This is pretty much guaranteed. I really don’t believe we are title contenders as the style of play isn’t sustainable and will yield a lower than average title winning points total, just like Leicester’s did. The difference was Leicester had no quality rivals whereas Liverpool will easily win most of their games this season.

It’s also about time a few of the numpties from our fanbase on here stopped wumming the rest of the forum and making us all look like dikheads.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Speaking of dikheads...look what this little flip flop wrote a few weeks ago #flags :

For those fools that think Mourinho still has it, let me spell it out: HE IS FINISHED. If you can’t see it you are either blind or deluded. His football is beyond atrocious, the way he sets us up is a disgrace. He is miles behind the modern tactical curve. He alienates players. He invests in short term solutions. We have made, and will continue to make NO PROGRESS under him.

The day he facks off out of this club I will put the facking flags out.

There is no way we can sit with 11 behind the ball and keep Liverpool out. It worked with Arsenal because they're shiiit and can't score. Liverpool will find the pockets of space and score.
