Emerson does need competition but his competition needs a bit more than just being a good crosser.
We need more in the attacking sense. Really Can’t endure more of Tripps.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you be happy if we brought Adama Traoure and Conte made him into a full back? Against teams who sit like Watford today he could come in handy.

The price has to be right though. No more than £30m for me. That's a fair price but I'm in two minds. He is a risky one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That wouldn’t be a bad shout if he had the defensive capabilities. Watching our last 2 games clearly shows we need more in the attacking sense from our flanks.
We hardly create anything with teams defending with low blocks.

Spending £30m+ on a player you want to convert into a wingback who may or may not make it in that role is crazy. This sort of thing only makes sense with players already at the club.

Yeah

Ironically, Tripper would be perfect in this set up

Less defending to do and more crossing

Just his game really, however having said that, I'm sure spending a few seasons at Atletico under Simone has done wonders for his defensive game

We were linked with him previously and I wouldn't be surprised if those links appeared again.

Traore would be a risk no doubt but I would not be looking to convert him but if he was flexible to play that role and be effective why not..
He is clearly better than anyone we have so he would be an improvement. He would draw players to him and give Son and Kane more chances.

To me itcwad a typical performance fir q side who have played a lot recently. we looked tired, slow in thought and movement. Sort of game you just want to come out of with 3 points. We created enough positions and chances to win easily but final ball and finishing let us down.

We still lack creativity, goals, and good crossing. Watford showed if they get behind the ball then we don't have many answers to be able to get ahead.

Traore, 0 goals, 0 assists, 50 litres of oil.

Until Monday when he plays us and he'll be unstoppable.

True but then on the flip side, we looked incredibly creative and class going forward against Liverpool. The issue is we don’t have the player in midfield to unlock a 11 man behind the ball defence like Watford. That’s what we desperately need in Jan. 1 x creative midfielder and 1 x top striker, no more excuses from Levy and the board

Don, a creative midfielder has to be Spurs Number One Priority, even if they have to break their transfer record. Bit like Liverpool had to do when the purchased VVD.

I cannot believe some of our supporters are still rating Winks. Spurs will never progress if he is going to get back in the midfield. OK as a squad player, but that's it.

I have always thought Winks was too lightweight for the Prem.
But I think Conte has upped his level. Winks has played very well in some recent matches, notably against Pool. And it seems Conte will keep him in January.
So get used to seeing Winks, Shipp & Hojbjerg starting.

I am a massive Traore fan and I believe I have seen enough of him to think he could be world class if he played in our team despite his very poor stats.

I would be so excited if we got him!
