Cant believe no one has said this... David Bentley?
VDV he promised to deliver a good corner but never managed it in over 2 years.

Pélé
Iniesta
Ramos
Horseface
Ledley King
could have been the best defender the PL had ever seen but i don't think he's gone a day in his entire professional career without suffering from some sort of injury
Ruben de la Red (mainly due to his early retirement. Was a massive shame).
Julio Baptista
was a beast with Sevilla and went to Real and bombed, does he still play??
Also, can't believe no one has said Bojan Krkic yet
tbf on Bojan he hit the heights just as Messi was taking off and everyone thought he would be messi mark 2. think he does ok at Roma although i don't really follow Serie A anymore

TRFC, fair point but I genuinely thought he would be the long term replacement for Eto'o at Barca but he tailed off a bit. He is doing fairly well at Roma but for the bags of potential he absolutely had, he never quite hit the dizzy heights. Hence, my inclusion of him on this thread
