Brilliant bit of false accounting!! You sure you run a business

Meggo blew a hell of a lot more of Eddies money than Coyle ever could. You couldn't provide a set of figures to prove otherwise.

And aren't you also conveniently forgetting the musch discussed gardening leave.

Stop side-stepping my question.

Pretty worried about the weekend no idea how we will perform. I really hope Ngog is back in the team maybe he can be the player who brings the spark we badly need, can't wait for Holden forever.

The squad have had a couple of weeks to work on the rather large list of things going wrong and you have to think that they should have made progress. Just seems hard to have any confidence in any of them, players and management, after a terrible season and a bad start to this one my expectations are very low. I would happily accept a very very boring 1-0 to the Wanderers, to think a month ago I thought we might have fun like we did in 96-97, does not look like we will be romping it this year. I hope they all prove me wrong.

the same old Meggo stuff. He spent lot! Why don't you be honest and say yes he spent too much on wages but recouped a lot of the transfer money by selling players. He was a very bad man manager.
How much has relegation cost us? Are you counting that in your figures.

I think as fans we need to get over being called pathetic and stop being hypocrites calling for people to get behind the manager when you were doing the opposite 3 years ago.

Megson has gone and what you see is coyles Bolton. For now!

Petrov, your alter-ego brought money into it, as usual. I just interrupted Bricks' and LH's discussion with a perfectly reasonable question.

I am still waiting for a reasonable answer!

I think you're right.

I think we also need to get over Megson, there are similarities and differences, but they are all irrelevant as Megson was in the past and Coyle is in the present.

Maybe Bricks and largehat could get on with debating the original topic...

i never expected for us this season to walk this league but i expect a good run at making the top 6.all i want at the moment to see from my team is to put a run of games together, keep a few clean sheets,be hard to score against and generally be resiliant.goals will come at the other end no problem with this team.we couldnt defend/keep clean sheets last season.this trend followed in the pre season games and into the first 5 games this season.1 clean sheet in 5, 9 goals conceded and at least 2 goals conceded in 4 out of 5.its not good enough.we cant carry on having to score 3 goals to win a game, 2 to draw.the players are partly to blame but i put the bulk of the blame on the manager and his coaches.9 games which sees us till the end of october and no more than that for me to see improvement or out you go coyle.

CEF your setting yourself up to have supporting coyle when it's clear he has to go rammed down your throat three years after. As for alter ego your attitude towards coyle and bricks attitude are so similar you may have paired the wrong two

Benny do you think coyle knows how to fix what is wrong. I am sure like you he can see the problems with the team. I just get the feeling he believes if the players try harder and show more passion all will be good. Thats it! I may be wrong and he has been devising a real plan to sort out the ever growing list of issues but I have not seen it.

Petrov, i'm talking to RB. Why are you replying on his behalf? I just asked a reasonable question, and was hoping for an answer that had nothing to do with money, as it is a red herring!!

Feel free to answer for him though

As for dodging questions??

posted on 12/9/12

As for RB he can reply to whatever he wants. After laughing at him on another thread when he suggested coyle may go and suggesting he will be around for longer is like déjà vu. You just needed to add the chill out to your comment.

i really dont think coyle is able to change things for the better to be honest but i think it is fair to draw a line in the sand at the end of october and reassess then.then again after saturdays match i may change my mind again and want him out on the sunday.

Petrov, he will be around for a while. I have been condistent with that for weeks.

It has nothing to do with this particular discussion.

CEF I am sorry but you simply don't know that. Why you say it with such confidence I don't know but then you have form for being confident of something then it being completely wrong. I don't care if your PGs PA I said it once and will say it again coyle will be sacrificed before the fans turn on PG.

There is one thing that will stop it and that's if we storm the league and remain top 6 for the rest of the season. That won't be anything to do with PG though.

Benny I see the Leeds game in a few weeks being crucial. It will be a good atmosphere as they may bring a few. Those fans will taunt coyle all game about the sack like Hull if we have made no improvement. They are a key promotion rival and will be tough to beat. If we lose that one it will be 9 games in and I expect a wholehearted angry reaction.

I was wrong about us getting relegated, and for the very final time, I have said I was wrong and I really wish I hadn't been. But, on Coyle, I have been consistently correct.

In December I stated that Coyle wouldn't be sacked and he would be staying till the end of the season.
In April, I said that even if we were relegated, Coyle would be our manager next season.
In July, I said that Coyle would be given a fair crack at this season.
In August, I said Coyle has 20 games and an 8th target.

That is why I am so confident on this particular topic.

------------------
Absolutely correct Sir. It will be because Coyle has finally returned to being the good manager he still is and he will be totally responsible, along with the players. Nothing to do with PG as you rightly say.

It's good to see that CEF & largehat have stopped discussing Megson and we are back to talking about football and the here and now.

We will beat Watford because, as bad as they are, we should score enough goals to compensate for our Benny Hill defence.

Unfortunately there are only around 5 teams as bad they are in this division so unless our defence suddenly learn how to defend on their own, it should see us finish around 15-20th.

posted on 12/9/12

CEF this time coyle has not got the fans. That is a big difference to last season so I still think your 20 game and 8th will be too much

posted on 12/9/12

Correction - not mine. Remember it came from PG. I don't have the decision regarding that sort of target.

I think the fans are 45/55 now. A win on Sat and it will prob go 55/45. The figures are to make a point rather than for someone to pick me up on them.

As long as OC has the players on side, we
are a long way from a Blackburn type situation.

posted on 12/9/12

45/55 wow far too generous. I suggest you listen at games home or away and look on here your a dying breed.

It may be PGs decision but nothing on here suggests you disagree

posted on 12/9/12

You would pick me up on the figures!!!

posted on 12/9/12

The fans who want a manager out are always the most vociferous and assume a majority. I've seen all sorts of polls on various sites over the last 6 months and they're always pretty close between Coyle in and Coyle out. Coyle in just shaves it usually.

posted on 12/9/12

I would put money on the fact that far more feel his time is up than think he can turn it round

posted on 12/9/12

Not quite the 'dying breed' you thought

Still plenty giving OC ten games. A few giving him till November. And most importantly, the two people that matter, giving him till 1st December.

By which time, it will have turned round. Your ' I told you so' rants last week will come back to bite you!!!!!

Chill out CEF he will be gone by then
