Ive seen it for years with Ashley Cole. Doesnt really affect him when it comes to defending but when he's further up the pitch and has to use his right to get himself out of a whole, he'l more often than not, use his left.
True RedConn - Maybe it doesnt matter so much with a defender. You're right about the touch of a rapist aswell.

Are people aware that in terms of win rate Gerrard is one of the worst England Captains since World War 2 ?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Be fair Superb
He did captain England to losses to Russia and Craotia in 2008 (meant England did not qualify)
He did captain the team in the great campaign in SA
He did captain the team in Euro 2012
Wait a minute ..... you're right
----------------------------------------------------------------
I know.
The facts don´t lie.
I love facts.
Gerrard captained England to their hightest ever world ranking.
Gerrard was the only English player to make the Euro 2012 squad of the tournament. Just 3 months ago.
Facts
I love facts.
-------------------------------------------------
Me too.
So I´m sure that you can embrace the fact that in terms of win rate Gerrard has been one of if not England´s worst regular captain since the Second World War.
Them facts
Steven Gerrard: Has played more inaccurate passes in the oppposition half(inc crosses) than any other PL player this season, with 45.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In fairness Gerrard has played come very accurate passes in his own half, the one agst France, the one in the Carling Cup final, and the one to Didier Drogba at Anfield were particularly accurate.
Superb, that's not all down to Gerrard. Unlike a cricket captain, who helps pick the team, he does not and even then a cricket captain cannot do much within 1 match if the wicketkeeper drops catches. Ratios of wins and losses mean little unless you show who the games were against. Captaining against Moldova, San Marino and Montenegro is going to get you more points than against Italy, Spain and Germany. Does not make you a better captain. Scott Carson chucking one in against Croatia is down to Steve Mc Claren not the captain.
Superb, that's not all down to Gerrard.
--------------------------------------------------
Never said it was.
But for England´s supposedly "best ever" midfielder to have such a poor record as England Captain is surely a major concern and questions need to be asked.
Of course that won´t happen as Stevie G is fully protected by the media.
Didn't watch the game but its not hard to guess why we drew -Gerrard

No that´s an opinion and a poor one at that.
Also take into account how Welbeck was praised for squandering two chances..
the other two subs didnt get a mention, both of whom (bertrand and sturrigde) linked up for the welbeck chance that got us the pen.
And it was sturrdige who passed to welbeck when he hit the post.
great comedy post mate you must be new to this football game, try watching football without a trible head on,i do
People complaining about Gerrard and Lampard - who else is there? Wilshire was showing promise but will he ever get back to what he was? Lampard is still one of the most consistant midfielders in Europe and he puts a shift in for the team. And similar can be said for Gerrard although contrary to popular belief, he cannot play the sitting role and not every pass has to be 50 metres!
Then there is Terry. You all like to slag him off but after watching last night, without him, you have not defensive organisation, no line and are unable to push out. Jaglielka and Lescott are just awful compared to the pevious three generations of English centre backs. Terry is also much better than most people admit at distributing play and I believe he is naturally two-footed (yes it was a shock to me too!!).
Kyle Walker seems a good prospect at right back and Bertrand should be elevated above Baines.
Why Cleverly was on the pitch I couldn't understand. He was so bad that Carrick should have come on to sit in front of Lescott and Jaglielka and help with distribution and push Gerrard or Lampard behind the striker.
Chamberlain looks a prospect but he's not the finishd article and probably should have been substituted earlier. Although I don't rate him, Milner was quite effective towards the end of the match.

This has nothing to do with which club Gerrard plays for.
This article is concerned with Gerrard and his performances (or lack of them) in an England shirt.

Trust me, we've seen it at Chelsea. We're not the same team without him.

Yup, unfortunately this is the case which is a worry as Terry won´t be around forever.
The difference that Terry makes for a side be it for Chelsea or England is enormous.
Yes he lacks pace but what people fail to acknowldege is that Terry never had pace so he won´t miss it as he gets older.
We desperately lacked Terry´s leadership, motivational skills and organisation in the Super Cup against Athletico Madrid.
