I would swap Varney with Brown, Tongue with Pugh and play Diuof out wide and Becchio up front on his own.
But I think we will get soundly beaten by an inform Hull side with either line-up
Thats got a relegation team written all over it
Would play Gray ahead of Diouf, would try my best not to play Varney, but we have a small squad unfortunately.
Sticking my neck out here and would suggest we play 4-4-2 against Hull. Defence as suggested in the original post and then Byram, Brown (if fit), Tonge and Pugh in the Midfield. Diouf and Becchio up front. Gray, Poleon, Ashdown, Thompson on the bench with three others to make up the numbers. Please, please, please no Varney.
Apologies, Austin in for Brown!!!!!!
Thats got a relegation team written all over it
Team effectively picks itself and with so few players we could free up bench space to develop another executive box.
Tongue didnt look match fot to me on Saturday. He played ok the first half but 2nd half was appalling.
Byram didnt do much either and have not been impressed with White and Varney at all so far.
The foul throw by Peltier in the 2nd half just about summed us up on Saturday
You should keep those thoughts to yourself Jonty, Master Bates might well be reading this as I type. The dugout already has "glazing" to three sides with room for a table for two if the bench gets removed.
Warnock could hire it for a romantic meal with Paddy Kenny as he continues his love-in with his partner of many years.
Outwood, I was a big fan of White, but he doesn't seem to have kicked on as he should have.
Varney is just woeful.
Guys
Print that team off, and look at it on paper.
Its bloody horrible
LIW, what do you suggest with the players we have?
Prey 22 teams go into admin, and get at least 35 points deducted
Jonty regarding White I think he needs to make up his mind is he a left back or a winger.
If hes a LB then he needs to learn how to defend properly. If hes a winger he needs to attack more and learn a more attacking style....
But we are woeful.
Warnock has wasted our transfer funds in my opinion
On Austin, Pearce, Peltier?
Who would you have spent it on instead?

untrue, hes had to bring in 11 players on a shoestring budget. Doubt if hes actually been given a transfer kitty
Jud - you can keep those 3, but get rid of Varney, Grey, Green, Tonge, Diouf, Brown, and Norris
He's also lost Snodgrass and didn't get to re-invest and to say we are woeful is ridiculous, we've lost 4 first team players to injury already and only played a handful games!
We're going to struggle and it's not Warnock's fault.
i like Diouf, Norris & Green as well to be honest.
I agree with Brown, Tonge & Gray.
Varney im on the fence about...could still come good imo....although i admit hes been less than sparkling so far (5 GAMES IN!!!!)
"untrue, hes had to bring in 11 players on a shoestring budget. Doubt if hes actually been given a transfer kitty"
Spot on. We're just a scraped together team. The Cardiff game was embarrassing to watch.
What's even the point of analysing it - this isn't the team Warnock intended to work with. I'm sure he - and everyone - expected the TO to be done way before the transfer deadline.
I agree with Jud apart from norris, think he's poor.
Agree with roz, it was embarrassing watching it, you could see it coming

Warnock has made several big mistakes in my opinion.
1) Selling Clayton
2) Signing Grey
3) Giving Brown another contract
4) Signing Varney
5) Signing Norris
6) Making Peltier captain
