Hmm, none of them I think

Spurs and Sunderland not too sure about that. Just because we are a big club doesn't mean we should be in prem. We are not in the prem for a reason, we aren't good enough!

No disputing that On On On - But we should be!!

& Look at the plastic Manc checking on the club they don't care about

We are probably of equal size to West Ham & Villa

No we are bigger than West Ham, but do you think West Ham Are bigger than Tottenham?!!

posted on 25/9/12

Yea we should be in there really, annoying poor management of the club (being polite) led us down the path to league one, at least its never dull!

All except Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal only clubs who have won the league more than us in my lifetime, Everton and Chelsea the same so on a par.

If you want to do a real comparison, so that you can do it properly, without having to use the historical stuff and perceptions. Just look at the amount of revenue generated each season in season tickets, plus gate reciepts. plus TV revenues, plus store revenues etc, etc, etc. We've been paying prem prices since we were first relegated 8-years ago, but suffered 2nd and 3rd division football, whilst our erstwhile leader has walked off with the cash leaving the cupboard bare. he's also generated massive player sales which have walked off too.

leeds are a big club, but on what grounds can you possibly consider yourselves bigger than spurs? having a ground that holds 4,000 more, which you dont sell out?

Outwood - I do think West Ham are slightly bigger than Spurs - they won the World Cup didn't you know

Daddy Chronic - Spurs will never be one of the big clubs until they move away from Arsenal - till then you will only be small fry compared to the rest of us!!

to suggest west ham are bigger than spurs on any grounds is just laughable.

leeds spurs is a more sensible debate, but spending large amounts of time in the lower leagues doesnt really strengthen the leeds case.

spurs are alsp bigger than newcastle, villa, and several other teams not in the original list

what do you mean move away from arsenal?

geographically? why would we want to leave north london? us and barnet are the only true north london clubs

Makes me cringe when i see our fans posting articles like this.

Spurs I think have grown massively over the past 10 years.

Only man u, arsenal, chelsea and liverpool are bigger in my eyes ATM

But three things go against them.

1 Fans dont travel past Watford
2
fans moan about White hart lane not being big enough, but only 25000 turned up against lazio

3 Always sell there best players ALWAYS

Leeds are on a par with Chelsea to be fair. Only difference is your money ran out.

If Leeds were as big as their fans think they are, they'd dwarf Man United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, and Bayern Munich, combined!

As it is, yes badly run off the pitch, but that has only really put them where, you could rightly argue, their level is. Yes a decade mid 60s to mid 70s (ended over 35 years ago) and a title 20 years ago (TWENTY YEARS AGIO!!) is it really, mediocrity since, and languishing mid table in tier 2.

Fact is the clubs listed in the OP have been higher than them for at least a few years, for some many more, so to suggest that Leeds are on a par with any of them is laughable at best.

As has been said, poor wummery at its poorest.

we have some of the biggest away support though....... we sold out leeds allocation in the fa cup replay a couple of years ago no problem... ... the away end wasnt full as our tickets were restricted after problems between the fans after the first game.

our fans are a joke at the moment. very fickle, not very supportive, and the truth is that we need a much bigger ground, but many spurs fans now think we are above the europa league, so wont show up.. which is a joke.

Why does it matter how big your club is anyway?

I couldnt care less if Spurs were a tiny club, as long as they're still competing within the elite clubs, in the best league - this makes me proud.

Don't even think that is the case anymore since Batesy has done all his stadium developments.
