It is getting maddening now. However, the front four were excellent in the second half and that should give us some encouragement.

its not a joke article, he did cost us three points

five stars from me. well done to spurs, they are a likeable team but giving them a two goal start by picking the same team that were awful last week was suicide. So the buck does stop with the manager. Giggs should not be starting games and that cost us today.

Lots of positives from the second half and based on that half it's criminal we lost. But taking the whole game in to account we were as bad as anfield in the first half and because of that you can't complain about the result.

We're playing catch up already but I am not worried yet. what does worry me is team selections like today and the knowledge that it will probably happen again.

On a different note Rio cost us today. At fault in all three goals.

So because the OP is Practical and honest to himself he is a spoilt child. I don't think the second half has changed the fact this United team is so Unstable. We still have to depend on Evra and Carrick and SAF insists on playing Giggs. If we would just address these positions then we have started. We can then address the issue of football itself, basically being able to keep the ball and find a team mate. That second half doesn't fill me with confidence still, considering it was produced under duress. We need to be able to play that way naturally and not as a response to humiliation.

Some interesting replies.

The inevitable, "Fergie can do no wrong", "All he's done for us". If you can condone poor team selections and tactics based on nostalgia, well, that's your issue.

Whether you like it or not, that game was lost in the first half due to a shocking team selection, a team selected by the manager.

For those of you so disgruntled about the article, instead of just posting boring replies, and if in feel Fergie wasn't to blame, please furnish me with your take on where the game was lost.

Alternatively, dry your eye's and shut the **** up.

I wouldn't go that far, though I would say "Fergie, pick you strongest team and bloody stick with it!"
