No use for up here
Unless you live in a city, which most in the highlands don't then it ain't gonna happen. Until the can increase the range to 100/200 miles it'll never take off.
The only ones i've seen are company cars/cans and that's just in the town so that company's can make a statement.
Juke,
I recon that the milage issues will rapidly improve once they start to sell more to the city crowd.
The big issue is in regards to how long you have to leave charging.
Best idea I heard was of the petrol stations being swapped out for battery swap stations. You would drive into a dock, the battery would be swapped out by a machine and replaced with a charged unit.
Hydrogen fuel cars are the future. Only emission is water.
Biggest problem is trying to develop a safe and cheap engine for them
Nuclear powered cars, have to be the way forward

We should develop cars that run off the burning corpses of those who've been put to death under our new capital punishment laws

The big oil companies, ergo governments, will not allow it
==================================
Why, what have they got against hovercars?
Seriously though, they will if they can offset the losses against the electricity.
The oil companies will love it if they can increase their margin and reduce the tax.

Jukey
Mibbe cars running off the bi-products of the coke and smack factories when we legalise drugs?
Nah
Cow schitt or chip-fat
They're the future
I say we gather all the homeless, euthanise them, then use their remains as a new form of fuel.
Lecky motors cost up to 10k more than their petrol/diesel equivellent.Batteries need to be changed every 5 years or so at the cost of 5k upwards.A full charge can take up to 10 hours and gives only 100-150 mile trip.Making the cars does more harm to the enviroment than they could ever do good, yada yada,yada.......Rant over.
Top Gear is educational sometimes
Naw bluenose
We euthanise the homeless
Then feed them to the inmates of prisons
Then execute them, using their remains for fuel
I live in a block of flats so can't plug it in.
